You don't always need expensive equipment to improve your strength and balance. There are many household items you can use including a door frame

Door Frame Chest and Shoulder Stretch

1. Position
Stand in a doorway with your arms bent at a 90-degree angle, hands and forearms resting against the door frame.

2. Action
Step one foot forward and gently lean your body forward, maintaining stable stance, until you feel a stretch in your chest and shoulder.

3. Hold
Hold the stretch for 10 to 30 seconds while breathing deeply, then slowly return to the starting position.

4. Repeat
Perform on both sides for the desired number of repetitions.

Safety Advice – Before talking part in any exercise, choose a space that is free from clutter and always listen to your own body, don't over do it. If you experience any pain or discomfort, or unusual symptoms it is important to stop and assess the situation. (seek medical advice if necessary)

Parents and Carers of children aged 3 - 6 should help them brush their teeth.

Help them by guiding their hands, using a mirror so they can see what they are doing, make it part of a routine. Make it fun by using timers or songs to encourage proper brushing for two minutes twice a day

Don't throw away your water bottles. Recycling them and create you very own dumbbells

You can them use them in a number of different exercises such as:

Lateral Raises.
💙Stand tall with your feet hip distance.
🩵Hold the bottles in your hands down by the side of your body with a slight bend in your elbows.
💙Slowly without any kind of hip, torso or leg movement, raise the bottles out to the side to shoulder level only.
🩵Slowly bring the arms back down stopping short of the starting position and go straight back up.

Don't have bottles handy? You could always use food tins instead

Safety Advice – Before talking part in any exercise, choose a space that is free from clutter and always listen to your own body, don't over do it. If you experience any pain or discomfort, or unusual symptoms it is important to stop and assess the situation. (seek medical advice if necessary)

Fast walking – also known as power walking – is a great way to boost your fitness and energy levels, plus you'll cover more distance in your 20 minutes!

Try walking on different surfaces and inclines, as it uses different muscles and will strengthen them, too.

You might notice blood in your p*e just once, or many times. It could be a tiny spot, a few streaks, or it might change the colour of your p*e completely. However it appears, it isn’t normal and should always be checked by your GP.
