Yesterday & Today we had such a wonderful time celebrating Love Your Pet Day!

Our home dog Horace enjoyed a special trip out and about, soaking up all the extra love and attention. He definitely knew it was his day to shine!

We were also excited to have our very special guest, Elvis the dog, join us today — and as always, he stole everyone’s hearts. It’s safe to say Elvis has quite the fan club!

Throughout the day, everyone shared sweet stories about the dogs they had as children. It was so lovely hearing all those memories — tales of loyal companions, funny moments, and the special bonds that never fade. 🐶💛

Thank you to everyone who helped make yesterday & today so special. Give your pets an extra cuddle from us!

We’d like to say a huge thank you to Nicola for coming in and teaching us the wonderful art of rag rug making! 🧶✨

At our care home, we absolutely love engaging with our local community and creating meaningful experiences for our residents. It was such a joy to learn a new skill together, share stories, and get creative.

We’re also so proud to be part of this special collaborative art piece, alongside many other care homes. It’s amazing to see so many coming together through creativity. The finished artwork will be displayed at the Gateshead Civic Centre in the coming months — we can’t wait to see it on show!

There was plenty of cake and sweets for everyone to enjoy, and the fantastic Pete Johnson sang live for us, creating a brilliant atmosphere. 🎶

It was so lovely celebrating with our family and friends — we definitely felt the love all around! ❤️

Yesterday we enjoyed our three-monthly visit from Low Fell Ukes, who sang a selection of songs from Kathleen’s Choices. Our residents thoroughly enjoyed the session and joined in with great enthusiasm. We even had a little competition to see who could sing the best — the staff or the residents — and of course, the residents were the winners!
