🎶 What a joyful morning we've had! A huge thank you to the Lowfell Ukes who came to visit us today, filling the air with wonderful music and warm smiles. They even created a special songbook featuring one of our residents' favourite songs — and sang it beautifully for everyone to enjoy 💛

🥳 It's time for Halloween!

Rosewood House will be hosting a 🎃Halloween Party🎃 for all to attend on Tuesday 28th of October from 1pm-2:30pm; bring your friends, your family, and most importantly your kids as we'll be having plenty of activities for them to participate in: a devilish disco, some ghoulish games, a creepy costume contest, and much more! 👻

Tickets will be on sale up until the day itself, £1 for adults or 50p for children. Be sure to see our activities team to purchase them or for more details about the event.

Last week we had a lovely visit from our pals Michael and Karen from Gateshead Library 🧑‍🏫 they brought us some wonderful archive materials about local history to show our residents so we could all reminisce together about days gone by around the Tyne. Our residents adored getting to see old photographs, newspaper clippings, and magazines! 📰

Today, like a few lads in some dire straits, we were the sultans of swing 👑 as Christine Rosemond came to serenade us with some jazzy swing music and tell us a love story through her songs. Our residents were moved emotionally even as they danced and sung along in their seats.

We can't wait to see Christine again next month when we'll be dancing through the decades with her! 💃

Our weekly art classes are finally back in session. Our residents were delighted to be back see their favourite art teacher as she helped guide us through pointillism, an art style popularised in 1880s France - how fancy! We'll be continuing with our art classes every Monday morning.

The dreaded Christmas post asking for donations has officially arrived! 😬✨

We’re gearing up for our Christmas Fair and need your help to make it extra magical. We’re looking for donations of:

🎁 Bottles (yes, even that dusty one at the back of the cupboard!)
🍫 Chocolates & sweets
🧸 Toys (gently used or new)
🎟️ Raffle prizes
🍪 Cakes/baked goods (closer to the date)
🎅 Anything festive & fun you can spare!

If you’re having a pre-Christmas clear-out or just feeling generous, we’ll gladly take it off your hands! Drop-offs can be made at 7 Kyle road NE82YE Rosewood house
