Veterans at Ease

Veterans at Ease Set up in 2010, we provide bespoke one-to-one psychotherapy to the men and women who, having served our country, are now struggling.

We are a leading military mental health charity, passionate about helping those who are serving and who have served and their families in dealing with PTSD and other Combat stress related issues. Our highly trained therapists are ex-forces themselves, all with first-hand lived experience.

Good afternoon everyone, we're in the last few days of January, but our Spring/Summer retail appeal just cannot wait, and that's why we are starting it early, please read on to find out about this exciting campaign, where we aim to drive donations and funds into our stores across the country.

This is something we are really proud of and we believe this will make a massive difference, so if you can, please do get behind us on this, we're launching this RIGHT NOW, so if you see this post, well, please do get involved, by donating, liking, sharing or spreading the word on our behalf, please read on for the full details.

JUST ONE THING...
The brolly in the hallway, the picture in the drawer.
The clothing that was on the chair, that's now a pile on the floor.
The book upon the mantle, the vase discarded on the shelf,
The Christmas decorations and that mischievous little elf.
The teddy on the bottom step that's been there for days on end,
The items that no longer fit, come on now let's not pretend.
That gift set in the cupboard, that necklace that's not quite right,
That dress from aunty Susan, the one that's a little tight.
The DVD's that remain unwatched as you settle down to stream a series that's online,
The clock that's never needed, although it keeps the perfect time.
That suitcase in the garage that you trip over once a week,
The seagull ornament on the sideboard with the golden yellow beak.
Have a glance around, there's always something in plain view,
That doesn't lend itself anymore, but there's no need to be blue.
So, every time you visit, please remember, as we sing - every time you visit us, please remember to bring us JUST ONE THING!

Getting the bus in to town? Out for a stroll, or popping in to say hello, we'd be ever so grateful if you'd bring us JUST ONE THING, our shops have thousands of visitors every week, imagine if EVERYONE brought in JUST ONE THING to donate every time they visited? Wow! That would be thousands of donations each and every week ❤️

Imagine the difference that could do, if every item was worth just £1, again wow, that's thousands of extra funds, to help those who need us most!

Did you know that a lot of people reach out at absolute breaking point and that's why we need to be available in getting help to those who are at their most vulnerable as quickly as possible.

No matter how you are visiting, all we ask is that if you have room in your bag, pocket or backpack, well, we'd love that finished book, those unwanted earrings, that top that's never left the wardrobe, that baby grow that never got worn, you get the jist.

Of course, we also welcome donations in volume too, and we can collect furniture and larger donations for FREE* (* please check with your local store as not all of our stores have the space for furniture or offer a collection service)

Honestly, let's drive this forward and remember,
imagine the difference you can bring...If every time you visit us, you bring us JUST ONE THING ❤️

On behalf of the Veterans at Ease retail team, may we thank you all in advance for your kindness.

Please share this post if you can and if you need support, please find details of how we can help here www.veteransatease.org

This is a lovely tribute to our CEO and Founder Garreth Murrell, taken from photographs of him when he had just finished rowing the Atlantic.

Thank you Darren for taking the time to drawn this.

Finally got the last bit done on this portrait. Back to doing landscaps and finish off the Norway trip.

This holiday season, consider the gift of a brighter future for veterans. Your organization can support the next years of Chris's training, or sponsor another veteran's journey, just like AAA Caring Caretaker.
