Every interaction, donation, sale, cup of tea, and conversation helps to rebuild lives and restore confidence. We provide the treatment, therapy, and support that our service users deserve, helping them find their peace and their purpose once again.

Did you know that ALL of our North East shops accept furniture donations?

We can even help with house clearances and restaurant/business clearances.

So if you're relocating, restarting, upscaling, updating or changing premises, well, we'd love your unwanted items. 🙏

We can collect fast and FREE - just email our collections team at collections@veteransatease.co.uk with details of your items and we'll allocate your items to the nearest store.

All of the above shops cover areas of around 10 to 15 miles from each store and we can go further afield for larger items/quantities.

Good morning, we are looking for corporate teams and work colleagues who'd love the chance to take over one of our charity shops for the day.

From bus drivers to bakers and warehouse workers to window cleaners, if you have a small, medium or large team, who'd love to give back as a volunteering or charity day then we would LOVE to hear from you.

What to expect - laughter, fun, learning something new, helping out, raising funds and changing peoples lives (aw, right in the feels)

Maybe you work in sales, if so can you beat our daily sales record?
Mail sorters, we see you, can you sort our boxes quicker than we can?
Delivery drivers, we see your multi-drop route and we raise you with over 400 items to get out in just 7 hours!

Jokes aside, whatever your role or profession, we would love to have you onboard. To organise YOUR take over day, please give our head office a call on 0191 249 9944. We can't wait to hear from you!

Could you volunteer for 3 hours a week in one of our community charity shops?

Would you like to chat to customers and learn how to use an EPOS till? Wow! You'd be great as our new till assistant!

Maybe you love to be in the thick of it, sorting donations, preparing items for sale and helping behind the scenes, if so, you'd be great as a sort room assistant!

Fundraising more your thing? Could you man a table at the front of our store or at an event, raising money, selling raffle tickets and running our popular tombolas? Yes? Oh, that's fabulous news!

Need a gentler role? No problem, could you man a desk near our till point, signing customers up to Gift Aid and talking about our services and ways to support the charity? Sounds like you? Marvellous stuff!

Or maybe you fancy moving stock and helping on the van? Great stuff, our logistics and warehouse assistant role could be right up your street! (North East stores only at the moment)

Not seen a role for you? Fear not, we also need jewellery untanglers, puzzle and games enthusiasts, vintage experts, antique lovers, visual merchandise assistants, you name it, there is bound to be a role for you.

Sound good? Wait, there's more, we also offer a 20% staff discount, free tea and coffee and the opportunity to learn new skills, update your CV and we can also help support you in looking for paid employment.

We're flexible too, meaning we can fit in around work, college or the kids/grandkids.

Fancy it? Just contact your nearest store to arrange a volunteer taster session.

We currently have stores in Gateshead, Byker, Blyth, Whitley Bay, South Shields, Stockton-on-Tees, Dereham, Norwich and King's Lynn.

Throwback to last Autumn, and yes, we are still really proud of this achievement, our team and the dedication that they bring each and every day.
2026, just like 2025 has already thrown some challenges our way (just like any business) but we're here to say, we're fighting, we're growing, we're learning and we are determined to make 2026 a year to remember! Who's with us?
