🎓 Foundations of Recovery Graduation Celebration! 🎓
We were thrilled to celebrate 10 amazing graduates from our recent Foundations of Recovery program — each showing courage, strength, and commitment to their recovery journey. 💪
This year’s graduation theme was inspired by “A Christmas Carol” — reflecting on the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future within recovery and highlighting the importance of support within the community. It was a meaningful reminder of how far our graduates have come and the support that surrounds them every step of the way.
We were also delighted to hear from our wonderful volunteer Louise, who spoke about the Foundations Together group she runs. This group is open to anyone who has completed the Foundations course, is on the waiting list, or is currently participating — providing ongoing connection and support beyond the initial program.
This celebration also reminded us how vital recovery support is. Engaging with services, connecting with peers, and accessing ongoing guidance can make a real difference. Together, we continue to challenge stigma, build hope, and show that support is always available for anyone on their journey.
We were also honoured to welcome the Mayor of Gateshead, who presented certificates to each graduate — a truly special touch that made the day even more memorable. 🏅👥
