💙✨ Volunteer & Ambassador Update – Making a Real Difference ✨💙

We’re so pleased to share a fantastic update from our recent Hospital Liaison Overview session, delivered by the brilliant Robert and Simon 🙌

We had an amazing turnout, with 12 volunteers and ambassadors joining us — all keen and excited to support Robert and Simon in their hospital liaison roles at the QE 🏥💙

The passion, commitment, and lived experience in the room truly showed why our volunteers and ambassadors are such a vital part of our service.

This session was filled with 💬 great conversations, ❓ thought‑provoking questions, and 🤝 shared experiences. It really highlighted the powerful difference that volunteers and ambassadors make, especially in hospital settings where engagement at the right moment can change a person’s recovery journey.

🌟 We also want to say a huge thank you to Steve from the HIVE team at the QE, who joined us to share information about their service and the brilliant partnership working we have together. Working alongside HIVE strengthens the support we can offer and shows what’s possible when services come together with a shared aim 💪

We truly recognise how important lived experience is — having volunteers and ambassadors alongside staff can be the difference between someone choosing to engage with our service or walking away. That impact cannot be overstated 💙

🙏 Thank you to everyone who attended, contributed, and showed such enthusiasm. We’re really excited about the next steps and look forward to seeing our volunteers and ambassadors joining us in the hospital very soon.

Together, we’re stronger 💙✨

🌟 New Group Alert at Gateshead Recovery Partnership 🌟

Did you know we are now delivering a brand new structured group called
👉 Dealing with Addictive Thinking and Behaviours?

We ran our first course earlier last month and the feedback has been amazing 💙
Here’s what some participants told us:
🗣️ “Helps recognise the feelings and thought processes which lead to the addictive mind wanting to keep you in the addiction.”
🗣️ “Addiction was explained! The course was encouraging and gave confidence in believing you can do it!”
🗣️ “Excellent delivery, lots of interaction, delivered on a very understandable level.”
🗣️ “I like how the course has made me understand and control my addiction. It has helped me identify my maladaptive behaviours.”

We’re so proud of this feedback and of the positive impact this group is already having.

💬 Interested in finding out more or joining a future group?
📞 Call our office on 0191 594 7821 and speak to one of our group workers, who’ll be happy to help.

Recovery is possible — and you don’t have to do it alone 💙
