As a massage therapist, my social media algorythms deliver me content of worldwide therapies showing various massage techniques.
..I am not going to lie....sometimes this is a horror show!

'Therapists' bent double over a client folded into a ball. Someones fist inside a mouth putting pressure on the inside of the jaw until the client is sobbing. A therapist pressing someones soft delicate stomach just above the p***c bone...I'd say shoving the very precious o***y with their invasive body weight, while the client cries.... what the..?!

Just no, sorry.

I am not this therapist!! I never want to be a client of this therapist either.

People do hold trauma, people do suffer with tension... but battering them, bruising them and telling them they are releasing trauma seems a lot like gaslighting to me!
(excluding cupping, this is, I understand, a viable treatment that can leave bruising.

My approach has always been based around a gentle nuturing and building up trust.

I want my clients to simply know in every cell that they are safe within the treatments I offer. They can talk me through upset or life events, they can cry but I will not invade their space and hurt them.

Now I am just getting ready for a full day of nuturing and looking after my lovely clients. No one will leave with bruises, or scratching their heads wondering what the hell just happened.

They will leave feeling listened to, relaxed, floaty, looked after and reset.

Your relaxation, your health and your wellbeing treat = a business owner, that has received a devastating cancer diagnosis, receiving support, coaching and guidance to help keep their business while they go through cancer treatment. Sole traders like myself have no sick pay, no financial support if we face lengthy treatment and recovery through this illness.
