Another amazing reference received today.......Laura is an outstanding carer. Laura took responsibility for our mother’s care after her dementia diagnosis for several years, from regular visits in her own home through full time at-home care up until the time she moved into a residential care facility.
Throughout her years long engagement, Laura was a consummate professional, arranging everything directly from scheduling and basic medical needs to personal hygiene and emotional support. With family and professionals, she was communicative, collaborative, reliable and extremely helpful, making suggestions without overstepping her role. But to our mother, she was simply a good friend who was visiting to help with various needs around the house, take a visit out for a walk or to a local attraction or enjoy a chat and some company over a cup of tea. Even after Mum moved into a residential care facility, Laura kept in contact to smooth the transition, and then keep up to date with her progress. Laura is a multi-talented professional who can serve as both a resource and an asset, but also a valued and trusted confidente. She acted like a friend, felt like an extended member of the family but ultimately performed her work with the utmost competence. We were reassured that our mother was in the best hands at all times.
