Today at Grace Manor, we began our VE Day celebrations early and in the best way possible—with a wonderful party and live music from the lovely Cheryl King 🎶

Cheryl took us right back to the 1940s with a medley of classic wartime songs, filling the room with nostalgia and joy. There was plenty of clapping, tapping, and singing along—and even a few dances too!
We enjoyed a delightful afternoon tea, complete with a classic Victoria sponge and a homemade cherry cake.

A truly lovely afternoon shared by all. We’re already looking forward to coming together again for tea on VE Day itself… until then 🇬🇧

What a lovely day we’ve had here at Grace Manor! 🎶

This morning, our residents enjoyed a fantastic Queen music quiz – there was plenty of clapping, singing along, and lots of smiles all around. A real hit! 👑

This afternoon, we were delighted to welcome back the children from Twydall Primary School. Together, we spent a relaxing and creative afternoon colouring, getting ready to celebrate VE Day tomorrow 🇬🇧

Today at Grace Manor, we’re proud to support World Hand Hygiene Day 🧼

Our team has been taking part in hand hygiene competency assessments, reinforcing the importance of effective handwashing in delivering safe, high-quality care.

We’ve also created an informative display in our reception area, highlighting proper handwashing techniques and best practices to help minimise the risk of cross infection for everyone who visits or lives within our home.

Clean hands save lives — and today is a great reminder that even the simplest actions can make the biggest difference. 💙

What a lovely, activity-filled weekend here at Grace Manor 💙

On Friday, our residents got creative with a relaxing painting session, producing some wonderful artwork 🎨

Yesterday, we enjoyed some armchair keep fit, keeping active while having plenty of laughs along the way. We also tried out our new scarves, which were a big hit! 🧣

Today, we celebrated a very special occasion — Happy Birthday, Geoff! 🎉 We hope you had a wonderful day surrounded by friends.
Our ladies also spent some relaxing time together enjoying a cosy “knit and natter,” sharing stories, laughter, and plenty of creativity 🧶

It’s been a weekend full of smiles, friendship, and special moments 💫

We’re especially looking forward to our VE Day Garden Party on the 6th 🇬🇧🌼 Let’s keep our fingers crossed for a lovely sunny day to celebrate together! ☀️

There was plenty of laughter as we all sat chatting about all sorts of things—such a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. Pauline especially enjoyed some special quality time with Simba 🐾❤️

What a wonderful day out at Ruxley Manor Garden Centre 🌿

Our residents enjoyed a lovely trip, starting with a delicious lunch before taking a relaxing wander around. From beautiful plants to the charming shop, there was plenty to see and lots of inspiration gathered for our own garden back at Grace Manor 🌸

Today at Grace Manor, we were delighted to welcome back Twydall Primary School with a brand new group of children 😊

After a warm introduction, everyone got stuck into some fun ball games, followed by the all-time favourite—the parachute! It was a joyful session filled with laughter, energy, and plenty of smiles.

We had such a lovely time and can’t wait to see them again next week for more fun activities! 🎈

What a lovely weekend we’ve had here at Grace Manor!

Yesterday was all about pampering, with residents enjoying a relaxing manicure day — a perfect chance to unwind and feel refreshed.💅

We’ve also had plenty of fun and friendly competition today with games ranging from noughts and crosses to dominoes and Yahtzee 🎲

Richard spent some time enjoying therapeutic colouring, while Rita made the most of the beautiful weather, soaking up the sunshine out in the courtyard ☀️

Plus, here are some photos of Tina’s finished diamond art, which she is very proud of — and rightly so, she’s done amazing! 💎👏
