Tamzin is a Sports Massage Therapist and Personal Trainer based in North Dorset. The services provided range from Personal Training sessions, both in an independent gym in Shaftesbury, and home visits too. She also offers Sports & Deep Tissue Massages, to aid recovery, recuperation and relaxation. Indian Head Massage, Thai Foot Massage and Reiki are also available.

Last Friday I found myself with a little lunch break. Totally unprepared, I delved in to my van & found these books. I’ve been carrying them between my clinic & home for a while, trying to find the time to start at least one of them. Then I took a moment & realised, I can’t focus on just one. You see, this, erm, eclectic variety of reference books highlight the many arms to my business, to me, to what I am trying to do in my work life. And I quite like how that looks & feels! Just know that, for all I have been qualified for 17years, you never stop learning! The thirst for knowledge & understanding & helping, it never goes away, & keeps me moving forward.

This little book may look frayed around the edges, but that’s because it’s my constant companion in clinic! I always use to educate clients, especially those who are more visual folk, so that they can better appreciate where they’re feeling discomfort or injured. I never shy away from admitting when I need to look something up, check something out, or refer on when I perhaps feel that my style of treatment isn’t working for a particular issue. But I take it that it’s all part of the holistic nature of my job, & also just demonstrates to you, my present/future clients, that I am here to try to help you to be the best version of, well, you!

Not long back from my annual pilgrimage to Therapy Expo - two days of lectures, shopping for the clinic, & making connections with other therapists & business owners. As usual, I managed to attend a whole variety of lectures covering a multitude of topics. I’ll write a more comprehensive post next week. But, safe to say I’ve come back with enthusiasm & desire to continue striving to be the best Spots Massage Therapist that I can be, & to help as many of you as possible! Xx
