Can back pain really be blamed on posture? 🤔

It’s one of the most common questions I hear in clinic. While posture can sometimes contribute to stiffness or discomfort, research shows that back pain is usually multifactorial - influenced by things like sleep, stress, movement, lifestyle, and general health.

Instead of chasing the perfect posture, it’s often more helpful to focus on regular movement, variety, and building strength in the body.

Now that my little one has started nursery and I have a little more time on my hands, my animal clinic will be running again on Tuesday mornings and Friday afternoons.

Our Story

CH Osteopathy is a friendly osteopathic clinic based within Avenue Tennis in Gillingham, Kent. As well as Osteopathy, we also provide Sports Massage Therapy. Whether you're looking for help with an injury or condition or would just like to relax and unwind, at CH Osteopathy, every appointment is tailored to your individual needs and includes consultation, assessment and treatment.

CH Osteopathy was founded by Christina Hellmann in 2015. Christina is a fully qualified Osteopath and Sports Massage Therapist. She graduated from the British School of Osteopathy with a Masters in Osteopathy and is also fully registered with the General Osteopathic Council and Institute of Osteopathy.

Christina knew from an early age that she wanted to pursue a career in Osteopathy and prides herself on a high standard of patient care. She has treated people of all ages for a range of problems and also regularly attends lectures to keep up to date with the latest information and research on health and fitness.
