Celebrating Social Prescribing Day!
On Thursday 26th March, our Managing Director, Registered Manager, and Operations Director had the pleasure of attending a fantastic Social Prescribing Day event held at Lordswood Leisure Centre.
But what is social prescribing?
It’s an approach that connects people to non-medical support within their community—helping improve wellbeing through activities such as social groups, exercise, volunteering, and creative therapies. It’s all about looking beyond traditional healthcare and supporting the whole person.
The team had a wonderful time learning, networking, and sharing ideas with others who are passionate about making a difference. One of the highlights of the day was meeting Jo and Aslan the Rottweiler from Amazing Minds 🐾—a truly memorable moment that brought plenty of smiles!
Events like this remind us how powerful community connections can be in supporting health and wellbeing.
