There's nothing more satisfying to me in life than finding out science is proving the "woo woo" stuff is real.

I was just reading that harvard researchers found that positive self talk can actually lower inflammation markers and reduce pain in the body, helping the body into its healing state.

When you say, "I’m not well" your nervous system hears a threat. It goes into survival mode, and a body in survival mode can't heal. The brain also cant differentiate whether your saying it to yourself or someone else is saying it. So if you say "I'm fat" or "I'm stupid" the body reacts the same as if someone else said it to you.

Try this today:
Instead of blaming your body for the pain, try these swaps:

Instead of "What is wrong with me?" Try "My body is working through something."

Change "My body is messed up." to "I notice tension, and I am letting it go."

"I'm broken." to "I am on the path of healing."

Maybe the most powerful medicine isn’t something you buy or get off the doctor. Maybe it’s your inner voice.
Speak to yourself like someone you love. Your cells are listening.

Finally Harvard researchers are catching up with Louise Hay! The mother of speaking yourself healthy!!! If you find this stuff interesting I'd recommend this book in the photo.

In these crazy times, I call on Arch
Angel Michael daily, for my own protection and for others. 💜💜💜

If you’ve been feeling oddly calm lately.
Seeing blue flashes out of the corner of your eye.
Dreaming vividly or finding feathers where they make no sense.

This is often how Archangel Michael shows up.

His energy comes through when you’re being guided to feel safe again. When something is being cleared around you. When you’re being reminded you’re not facing things alone, even if it feels that way sometimes.

Read through the signs and notice which one made your chest soften for a second. That’s usually the one meant for you.

🤍 Save this if you want to come back to it.
🤍 Share it to your story if someone you love needs protection right now.

This is the woman behind the lotions and potions my clients are always up for trying!

Most of you know the Emu Oil blend I use with massage for chronic pain and arthritis, but you might not know it was created by my mum.
After her cancer treatment, she ended up with Rheumatoid Arthritis, so started a one woman journey to find natural pain relief. This blend is her masterpiece—using Emu Oil to carry powerful essential oils like Wintergreen, Clove, and Helichrysum deep into the joints to calm inflammation.
What started as her own healing journey is now the secret to helping my clients manage fibromyalgia and chronic pain.

January’s been a little quieter for me and instead of seeing that as a negative, I’m choosing to see it as a positive!
I’ve been saying to the universe, “I’m ready to level up” — and it feels like the answer came in the form of space. Space to learn, grow, and deepen my work.
I’ve used this time to train in pre & post-operative Manual Lymphatic Drainage. This modality along with the Level 5 Massage course, starting in March, will allow me to support people even more effectively through recovery, pain, healing and rehabilitation.
Sometimes when we ask for the next level, we’re not given more busyness… we’re given the room to grow!🌱
Grateful for the quiet, excited for what’s coming, and ready for what this next chapter brings.

🫀✨ The Lymphatic System of a Griever — 10/30

“When Missing Someone Becomes a Physical Ache”

There is a kind of longing that doesn’t just sit in the heart —
it lodges itself in the body.

When someone you love passes away, the missing doesn’t disappear into the air.
It roots itself in your chest, curls into your breath, and settles inside your tissues like unsaid words and unfinished stories.

Longing is not soft.
Longing is pressure.
It tightens your throat, lives behind your sternum, and wraps around your ribcage like a memory you can’t un-remember.

Your body remembers what your mind tries to forget.

And the lymphatic system — silent, sensitive, honest — feels it first.

🧠 Trauma Replay & the Body’s Memory

When grief resurfaces — a song, a date, a smell, a quiet moment —
your nervous system replays the old scene like a film stuck on repeat.

Your breath shortens.
Your shoulders rise.
Your chest tightens.

And inside, your lymph vessels react.
They constrict.
They slow.
They hold.

Not because they’re weak —
but because your body is trying to protect you from drowning in the emotion.

Trauma replay is not imagination.
It’s your physiology reliving the moment your world cracked open.

💧 What Longing Does Inside Your Body

Missing someone isn’t just emotional.
Longing activates the same pathways as physical pain.

It releases stress hormones that make the lymphatics sluggish.
It makes your chest feel heavy because stagnation builds behind the heart.
It disrupts digestion because the vagus nerve collapses under emotional weight.
It makes your muscles feel tender because fascia tightens when you cry.

Longing is a biochemical event.

Your lymph nodes swell with unprocessed sorrow.
Your breathing becomes shallow, lowering lymph flow by up to half.
Your tissues hold fluid because your body thinks you’re in danger again.

This is why grief feels like bloating, tightness, heaviness, exhaustion.
This is why the body aches when the heart breaks.

🫂 The Body’s Silent Way of Saying, “I Miss Them Too.”

Every time you long for the one who is gone, your body responds as if reaching for them.
As if trying to pull back a moment in time.
As if trying to bring them close again.

Your body is not malfunctioning —
it is remembering.

Because grief is love that has nowhere to go.
And longing is the echo of love searching for the one it can no longer touch.

So when your lymph feels heavy…
when your chest feels full…
when your body aches in waves…

It isn’t weakness.
It is proof that you loved deeply —
and that your body is still carrying the shape of that love.

What is Dermo Neuro Modulation?

DNM gently stimulates the skin’s nerve endings, sending calming signals to the nervous system. When the nervous system feels safe, the body can regulate, repair, and rebalance itself.

Who can it benefit?
This treatment can be especially beneficial for people experiencing:
• Persistent or chronic pain
• Stress, anxiety, or nervous system overload
• Trauma or PTSD (including stored physical tension)
• Fibromyalgia or unexplained pain
• Post-injury or post-surgical sensitivity
• Restricted movement or ongoing discomfort
• Feeling “stuck”, disconnected, or constantly on edge

Because it’s so gentle, it’s ideal for bodies that feel sensitive, overwhelmed, or have tried “everything else”.

The skin is a gateway to the brain, and the brain is a gateway to healing.
Sometimes, the lightest touch creates the deepest change.

Any questions about this just drop me a message.

Hi, I'm Jodi and I have an addiction.

Phone addiction.

I have realised this and I hate it. So I’m doing a month with no social media apps (I think more of us should!)

I’ve realised how much social media has been rewiring my brain.
The constant scrolling, the notifications, the dopamine hits — it’s addictive as hell!
It scatters my attention, lowers focus, and leaves me feeling empty and raging at myself after spending hours consuming so much “content.”

And while we think we’re using the apps, they’re using us!!
Tracking, profiling, shaping behaviour and brainwashing — all in the name of “connection" yet I've never felt so disconnected.

So for the next month, I’m deleting every social media app from my phone. I want to get my time, evergy, thoughts and privacy back and not always reach for a screen to disassociate.

It’s not just a detox — it’s a small act of rebellion.
Because the more we depend on phones that track our every move, the easier it becomes to accept things like digital ID as “normal.” But it’s not normal to swap privacy for convenience.

If you’ve been feeling overstimulated, distracted, maybe try a month off too.

If you need me, just message or call.

See you in December. 🫶
