There's nothing more satisfying to me in life than finding out science is proving the "woo woo" stuff is real.
I was just reading that harvard researchers found that positive self talk can actually lower inflammation markers and reduce pain in the body, helping the body into its healing state.
When you say, "I’m not well" your nervous system hears a threat. It goes into survival mode, and a body in survival mode can't heal. The brain also cant differentiate whether your saying it to yourself or someone else is saying it. So if you say "I'm fat" or "I'm stupid" the body reacts the same as if someone else said it to you.
Try this today:
Instead of blaming your body for the pain, try these swaps:
Instead of "What is wrong with me?" Try "My body is working through something."
Change "My body is messed up." to "I notice tension, and I am letting it go."
"I'm broken." to "I am on the path of healing."
Maybe the most powerful medicine isn’t something you buy or get off the doctor. Maybe it’s your inner voice.
Speak to yourself like someone you love. Your cells are listening.
Finally Harvard researchers are catching up with Louise Hay! The mother of speaking yourself healthy!!! If you find this stuff interesting I'd recommend this book in the photo.
Do you have any daily affirmations you tell yourself?
