Happy Sunday where fresh coffee and croissants are the order of the day so far.

The picture is me re using my candle jar with from my garden.

My sister bought me a rose bush for my birthday called Elizabeth and it truly is the gift that keeps on giving.

Setting up for a great day starts with making notes in my diary whilst having coffee.

After celebrating my dear friend birthday that includes questioning my decision of trying to dance to afrobeats music.

It certainly got my step count up that's for sure.

I haven't been in the building since it closed in 2009.

As usual, when councils decide to close buildings and amenities, citizens of towns and cities don't know how to stop it or who to campaign to.

This building is not only brutalist and art deco all at the same time, but it was the only building to continue development during ww2.

It's got enormous potential to be a centre of excellence for health and wellbeing and I'm imagining being back in the pool after a Pilates or yoga class onsite too.

It opened in August 1940 and closed in 2009 when it was proclaimed to be a black hole in the council budget.

It has been rescued from horrific vandalism by a group of volunteers (I'm about to join up!)and trustees, and you can gain access this weekend as part of .

Please please donate if you can. If everyone who went through the doors just even donated £1. It could pay for more materials to repair damage.

Also, if you have any stories of being in the please get in touch.

So anyway ... I wrote a blog post on my website about not pushing yourself if you don't feel 100%.

I got up yesterday morning, got dressed and tried to battle through this feeling of walking through treacle and nae quite myself.

I got to my front door and thought nope. Match abandoned. I cancelled clients and basically slept from 9 til 5.

I'm much better today and managed to rattle through some ironing and do other business things. My amazing network or chums all checked in on me by phone, family too.

So what's the point of this post? I have had 2 whole days at home and I seriously can't remember the last time I truly rested. It's been horrible (yesterday) and lovely (today).

Normally I would be going to the gym and being task orientated whereas today I've done quite a bit of reading and then staring at my plants in the garden taking it all in.

This has been a reminder to myself to do it more often and not because my body is forcing me to.

How about you?

Yesterday was the day I got to the front door and thought. Nope. Match abandoned.

Have you ever tried to push through your day when you are not even feeling 50% well?

That was me yesterday.

3 minute coffee break read.

We don’t always need to push through. In this post, I share a personal story about feeling unwell, choosing to cancel plans to carry on working, and giving myself permission to rest—because sometimes slowing down is the strongest thing we can do.

How I found out I am always waiting for the put down. That chapter is closed!
