As we are in Lent, today's service with Father Emmanuel was a calm, peaceful and reflective time. The residents took Holy Communion and sang along to the hymns and joined in with the prayers. A beautiful service.

Spring is in the air!!! Lovely walks in the garden today looking at the daffodils and spring buds. Billy also enjoyed a game of football in the sunshine. Being outside in the sunshine boosts mental wellbeing and lifts the spirits after a long and cold winter.

A great active day for the residents. Snakes and Ladders, Naughts and Crosses, table top Curling, table top Skittles and magnetic fishing. Great to see the residents engaged and enjoying themselves.

As part of Craigbank's whole home approach, the residents enjoyed painting the wall art that the Regional Gardener brought. It was a great fun activity using the acrylic paint brush pens and what a beautiful job they made of painting the swallows.

The wall art in the is now hung on display in the garden. It really does look beautiful ❤️.

A lovely afternoon for Billy and his daughter. A nice walk round the grounds looking at nature and the daffodils. Then a trip down Saracen Street to the local library. Lovely to see Billy so happy, he especially liked looking at the old photographs of Possil Park as far back as the 1920's.

Father Leo and the new Father Emmanuel brought a wonderful service for Ash Wednesday and Holy Communion. It was wonderful to hear the residents singing the hymns and engaging in the service, a truly touching thing to hear.

Our Story

The home is made up of three separate houses, each with its own lounge, kitchen and dining room. Islay house specialises in residential care for up to 30 residents, Killearn house offers nursing dementia care for up to 15 residents, while Balmore house can accommodate up to 16 residents and provides nursing dementia care.
