From a pin to an anchor I sell buttons to zips. I try to put up as much as I can every week. Priced from 5p to £2.50 per button.

But as customers who have been to the stall with see I have over 500 items. As the buttons as Discounted they sell out very quick. The Wool sells out quickly too as it ranges from £1.00 to £5.99 per 100/400 gram balls. Colours are beautiful I am trying to get a full range of buttons to match the wool that is coming in just now and with success. So come along and see the stall and enjoy the days outing at the Barras.

Hi Everyone, I am not closing the Button Stall just the big stall with the knitting etc. I have a 1p button sale on in that stall sold over 15,000 buttons so far to customer, Charity and Knitting Classes. Hi Everyone, Yes it's came to a head I am slowing down in the Barras Market giving up one of the stall with the knitting etc on it. So I have a 1p button sale on till the end of September, sold over 4,000 buttons over last two weeks so far. I am selling the knitting for £5.00 per item to clear out for end of September this year. So come on down and see what you can get. 100 x1p button is only £1.00 there is always something that may suit you. Hi Everyone, Button it or Zip it is now open 9a.m. to 3p.m. every Saturday and Sunday. New buttons have arrived last week and only 2 packets of Mr and Mrs. Clause and Raindeer left £2.00 a packet. Trying to get more Unicorn buttons and Super girl buttons.

Please accept my apologies everyone I was not in on Sunday due to my hips comping out of it's socket. Eventually it went back into place during that time I was on the phone to 999 Ambulance and they said they would get someone to phone me. So one hour later (I was in bed by then) a Sister on NHS24 phoned and she talked me through everything. She could not have been anymore helpful. I was told to see my doctor on Tuesday which I did and if the incident happened again not to hesitate but to phone 999 right away. Thanks to the NHS and 999 for being so quick. I am felling better now and will be in tomorrow at stall for business.

Just incase I missed anyone my husband/soulmate passed away on 21st December 2020 with Cancer. Luckily my daughter a Nurse got into see her Dad anytime. So he always had someone at his side.

Good Afternoon Everyone, my stall at the Barras will be open for selling Buttons, and Haberdashery and also wool this weekend. 1st/2nd May. Just got a delivery of new buttons today also Funky Fur/Eyelash wool 50grms £2.00 a ball or 100grms £5.00 a ball which has glitter through it.

Hi Everyone, New stock of Buttons in today so will be out at weekend. I will be opening from 10a.m. to 3p.m. every Saturday and Sunday from now on. (Sorry about last Sunday my husband took ill so I had to take him home.) If you require buttons, ribbons, lace, elastic etc. Please call in this weekend or next as I heard Nicola Sturgeon is looking at a full lockdown. So get all your buttons you require. Found a few more balls of wool for selling in our store. So keep safe and well everyone and if you are coming in to Button it or Zip it you are more than welcome. Linda

Sorry to all my family and friend and facebook buddies. I took ill with gallstones but much better now and Button it or Zip it will be open this weekend for all your needs of Buttons, Bows, Ribbons, Marabou, Lace and we have some wool for sale at £1.00 a ball left.

Good Afternoon everyone, The Wool Shop in the Gallowgate is now open. I am still taking orders for buttons etc to be posted out First Class and receipt will be texed or emailed to you. On another note "THE BARRAS WILL BE OPENING UP ON SATURDAY 18th and SUNDAY 19th JULY. Hurray be glad to see all my customers.

Our Story

My business has been going for about 9 years now and I love the buzz of friends, family and customers who come to the stall everyday. We chat about our the worlds problems and we try to fix them. When I was in hospital and got out I was amazed at how many customers came into ask how I was doing and wishing me well. Now I feel my customers are my extended family we can talk about anything. Every week I try to put up as much as I can every week. But as customers who have been to the stall with see I have over 500 items. Priced from 5p to £2.50 per button. As for the buttons at discounted prices they sell out very quickly. The Wool sells out quickly too as it ranges from £1.00 to £5.99 per 100/400 gram balls, specialising in Funky Fur. Colours are beautiful I am trying to get a full range of buttons to match the wool that is coming in just now and with success. I love crochet and knitting I have had a lot of young people coming in asking for advise on knitting. I gave them knitting needles and wool and showed them how to start off the 1st row and 2nd row then I stood with them to see if they could catch onto what I was showing them if not I would repeat it again until they did.
