Another retreat complete, and my heart is full. 💜

It’s funny to think back to my very first retreat. I was a wee boy away at hockey camp with the Scotland squad, convinced my stomach was going to burst from anxiety. I was crying, missing my mum, and learning for the first time what nerves felt like in my body.

Since then, I’ve been on many retreats for many different reasons. These days, I seem to be drawn towards spiritual and empowerment spaces, and this weekend’s retreat in Largs was another beautiful reminder of why.

The venue itself was incredible. An old nunnery transformed with warmth, character, and a brilliant sense of humour. The walls were covered with cheeky artwork of “naughty nuns,” which had us all laughing from the moment we arrived. Between the sauna, steam room, beautiful rooms, and stunning surroundings, it felt like a little sanctuary by the sea.

What made the weekend truly special, though, was the people.

There was something really powerful about the openness in the group. People shared parts of themselves that aren’t always easy to talk about, and it never felt heavy or overwhelming. It felt human. One person’s vulnerability gave permission for another’s, and the result was a space filled with honesty, connection and compassion.

We dipped in the cold water, danced on the beach, line danced in the kitchen, shared meals, laughed, reflected, and created memories together. I even got to bring a little of the Faz Frequency to the weekend with card readings, light balls and the release ceremony.

A huge thank you to Adele, Erin, Lainey and Eileen for holding such a beautiful space, and to every woman who attended and brought their own magic to the weekend.

This wee video doesn’t capture half of it, but it gives you a glimpse.

I’d go back in a heartbeat.

Thank you all. Love yous. 💜✨

Wow. What an amazing event. ❤️💯🙌🏾

Every workshop I facilitate seems to flow a little more naturally than the last. Not because they’re becoming “perfect”, but because I’m becoming more comfortable with the fact that perfection doesn’t exist.

The whole theme of this workshop was unbecoming; letting go of who we think we should be and allowing ourselves to simply be who we are. And in many ways, I experienced that alongside everyone else in the room.

Like always, I planned everything to within an inch of its life. My beautifully neurospicy brain loves a plan. Yet, as always, things didn’t unfold exactly as expected. And that’s okay. Some parts changed, some things didn’t happen the way I’d imagined, and some lovely surprises appeared along the way.

What made this workshop so special wasn’t the schedule. It was the people.

We had a small group, made up mostly of friends and familiar faces, and it felt incredibly intimate and safe. Justine, whose beautiful space we used, felt naturally called to join in. Anthony was a lovely surprise guest. Victoria even picked up the drum at one point and joined the fun.

From the very beginning, my intention wasn’t to stand at the front and teach. I don’t believe in “them and us.” I believe in creating spaces where we can learn from one another, support one another, release what needs released, and celebrate being exactly who we are.

Together we explored the Faz Frequency through sight, sound and movement.

✨ Sight through meditation and visualisation.

🥁 Sound through singing bowls, drumming, chanting and the wonderful collection of instruments that found their way into the circle.

💃 Movement through somatic dance, allowing the body to express what words sometimes can’t.

The evening ended with something truly magical. Two of the attendees happened to be experienced fire performers and shared their gifts with us, creating a beautiful and unexpected ending to the day. Watching everyone relax, play and simply enjoy the moment was incredibly moving.

I’d also spent the morning facilitating at the Rise Up Retreat in Easterhouse, and by the time I got home I needed a 45-minute power nap before the workshop. It turned out to be exactly what I needed. Sometimes rest is part of the work too.

Did I forget a few things? Of course I did. I even forgot to hand out the little gift bags I’d brought for everyone! But that’s life. That’s being human.

What I left with wasn’t a feeling of perfection. It was gratitude.

Gratitude for the people who came. Gratitude for the connections made. Gratitude for the laughter, the tears, the drumming, the dancing, the fire, the conversations and the moments of stillness.

Thank you to everyone who shared the space with me.

If you’re looking for a place where you can feel safe, supported and accepted exactly as you are, where there’s no pressure to perform, fit in or have it all figured out, I’d love to welcome you to a future workshop.

Dates coming soon. 💜

Second time in Arran and this time Fiona gatecrashed for 3 days lolx 🌧️😂 But honestly, we both had an amazing time and she even ended up working in the coffee shop too. Thanks Fiona Memtor Intuitive, your gatecrashing actually worked out in everyone’s favour. 🤭🤣❤️🙌🏾🙏🏾I know you know how much your presence, time and work is appreciated by us all 🤍xx

I was back at Eas Mor Ecology (Waterfall & Cafe) to spend time with the lovely Lorna, 🤗who’s not just an incredible chef but a genuine friend now, and Albert, the Viking himself. Absolute legends. 🧝‍♀️🧝‍♂️

Maybe I didn’t pick the best weather 🌦️ week, but it was the only week I had between fairs, meditations, workshops, healing, and getting to relax and enjoy life a little too. Even with the rain, Arran still felt like sanctuary energy. 🙌🏾❤️💯

The first time I came over was after the mini Water Warrior Women festival and I ended up staying a whole extra week. This time around, I stayed in the caravan again and paid for my stay by helping out in the cafe for a few days. I actually really enjoyed it and still got to go to the magical rainbow waterfall and library!! Must sees!! 🌲🌈🌊📚

Another highlight was actually driving round Lochranza on one of the rainy days. Even just watching the landscapes and hills from the car felt healing in itself. Every time I go to Arran, I leave feeling like there’s still more to explore next time. ⛰️🌄🏝️

Big shoutout as well to fellow soulmates Spirit Within Mystical Shop in Arran for all the crystals, cards and spiritual woo-woo goodness 🔮 🧙‍♀️🍄🧚‍♂️🐉🦄Of course I bought cards. 🃏

Also, if anyone is looking for a wee escape away, Eas Mor offer accommodation in exchange for helping out in the cafe as it’s charity-run and they really appreciate the extra support. Such a lovely way to slow down, reset and experience island life for a wee while 💜🏝️🌈🙌🏾

Anyway, here’s a wee photo dump from the week because I’ve been too busy living it to post in real time 📸

And if you’ve been following my own healing/spiritual journey and fancy joining me in person, I’ve got a few spaces left for my next intimate workshop:

✨ The Unbecoming
📅 Sunday 31st May

A small, cosy group focused on healing, self-love, releasing old stories and reconnecting to yourself.

Message me if you’d like one of the remaining spaces 🤍
