Does resistance training influence mortality rate and increase the chance of living longer?
This recent systematic review definitely suggests so! It found that undertaking any amount of regular resistance training reduced the chance of cancer mortality by 14%, cardiovascular disease mortality by 19% and mortality of any-cause by 14%.
I think it is safe to say if you want to live longer, resistance training (at home or in the gym) definitely increases your chances. 💪💪💪
