We’re so pleased to announce that Elona has stepped into the role of Team Leader here at Home Instead Glasgow South.

Elona recently marked 4 years with Home Instead, during which she’s done a fantastic job as Field Supervisor. Her dedication, knowledge, and passion for supporting others have made a real difference to clients and colleagues alike.

Now, as she moves into the office full-time as Client Lead, Elona will be focusing on guiding and supporting clients throughout their care journey, making sure they receive the very best experience every step of the way.

🚪“There’s no door here!” – or is there?

When a loved one with dementia becomes confused, it’s easy to panic or correct them bluntly. But there’s a better way.

In this short and powerful video, a daughter gently supports her dad who’s gotten lost in the bathroom, thinking a vase is the door. Instead of correcting him harshly, she calmly redirects and removes the vase altogether - reducing future confusion.

It’s a small moment that shows a big truth: kindness and calm go a long way.
