Next up is Colette from Localeyes Optometrists Ltd-Opticians.

Tell us about your business?
I own Localeyes Optometrist’s Ltd. I test eyes and fit glasses and contact lenses. I also can prescribe medication for sore and infected eyes. We offer a first port of call service for red and sore eyes.

How long have you been in operation?
My business has been in Stonehouse for 19 years. I have been qualified 34 years.

What do you like most about Stonehouse?
I love the village atmosphere and meeting all my patients when I go out shopping for lunch. I also love the fact I have multiple generations of family that all come to me.

What would you change about Stonehouse?
Nothing I love it here.

Why should people shop locally and use local services?
Shop local is amazing for the community. Money makes it go round in support of local charities. Also it’s really good for the environment.

Tell us something about you that not many people know?
I love amateur dramatics and perform often on the stage. I have played many leading lady parts including Jean in Sunshine in Leith, Miss Hannigan in Annie and The Wicked Witch in Wizard of Oz (I was green for about 6 weeks after the show!)

Anything else you want to share?
I love my job and enjoy every second of it. I’m a second generation optometrist and it was the best decision I ever made following my father to this career.
