LIP FLIP - no filler used in this before & after!!! 💋

WHAT IS A LIP FLIP?
A Lip Flip is a non-surgical cosmetic procedure that uses small doses of Botox to temporarily relax the muscles around the lips, giving them a fuller, more defined appearance and stopping the upper lip from curling under when talking or smiling and therefore giving the lips a more desirable appearance. The procedure takes only a few minutes to perform, and results can last up to four months.

WHY WOULD I GET A LIP FLIP?
This treatment is suited for individuals with a smaller upper lip than a lower lip, a lip that curls under when talking or smiling and it is also an effective way to reduce a gummy smile.

PROS & CONS OF LIP FLIP?
Pros:
-Non invasive treatment that takes minutes to perform with no downtime and minimal discomfort
-Cost effective
-Natural results with no filler used in the process
Cons:
-Results are not immediate and can take up to 14 days
-Results are only temporary

At Glasgow Aesthetic Clinic I carry out a full consultation with anyone looking to make changes to their lips and regularly patients are unhappy with their lips due to the lack of proportion between top and bottom lip and top lip curling under when talking or smiling; often it is not volume or size that concerns them. In this case, and if patient is a suitable candidate, I will perform a lip flip on the client instead of lip filler to achieve their desired results. This allows for minimal changes to clients natural anatomy but with maximum results which is often what many clients are looking to achieve.

Lip filler can also be used in combination with lip flip once lip flip results are at their maximum potential if your desired outcome is also to increase overall volume and shape of both lips.

FIRST TIME LIP FILLER -0.7ml 👄

Sian attended for first time filler after talking about it for many years. I carried out a full consultation beforehand to assess Sian’s lip anatomy and discuss her desired outcomes. We then went ahead with 0.7ml of lip filler and just look at these first time filler results! Shape, volume and definition have been boosted all whilst keeping a natural looking lip. Perfect results!

Gorgeous Pamela 👰🏻‍♀️🤍✨

Pamela got married in October 2023 but initially came to myself in January 2023 to create a treatment plan and get the ball rolling with treatments to boost Pamela’s confidence and get her wedding ready!

We started with a lip dissolve and refill, which I will post more about soon, and regular anti-wrinkle injections before carrying out ‘Profile Balancing’.

Profile Balancing is where we assess a clients side profile and treat required areas of the face with dermal filler to create harmony throughout the side profile and ensure all features are in proportion of each other. In this case I treated Pamela’s nose, lips and chin to create the perfect side profile.

I carried out a Non-Surgical Rhinoplasty to straighten the dorsal hump and slightly lift the tip of Pamela’s nose, I then added some volume to the lips and lastly added some volume to the chin to, not only, balance Pamela’s side profile but also correct Pamela’s chin dimples which she had asked to have treated at the same time and create a smoother chin.

(Teosyal Ultra Deep used for nose and chin. Revolax used for lips)

After carrying out Pamela’s treatments I asked her to return for a review two weeks after so I could assess the final result after any swelling and bruising had subsided and the filler had settled to its final results.

Super happy with these results and Pamela stated she felt a big confidence boost on her wedding day which was our goal on initial consultation 🥰

Laurie came to myself having had previous filler from another practitioner over a year ago. She came with the aim of a fuller top lip that didn’t curl under, we initially treated the top lip with ‘lip flip’ to prevent the lip curling and lifting on movement/when smiling. We then agreed a treatment plan of adding 0.5ml dermal filler to give a further boost to the top lip and add definition and volume all over.
