✹ Struggling to feel hopeful after months: or years: of fertility heartbreak? You are NOT alone. Most advice says "just try again," but the game changes after 35. Why do holiday seasons feel heavier? Because old habits pull you back, toxic mindset cycles kick in, and every year that passes seems harder: until you have real support

MDG’s words say it best: “this Christmas has been much better than last year and 2024 and I credit that so much to the habits you have taught me and the mindset shifts you have helped me with. I’m starting the new year feeling optimistic and excited for the future and it’s all down to your and Helen’s care and advice.”

It’s not just plans. It’s daily habit change, expert guidance, and someone TAKING YOU SERIOUSLY.

Egg quality boost, no fads needed: Did you know that what you eat TODAY can impact your future fertility? If you’re over 35, you’ve been told to cut, restrict, and avoid: but here’s what actually works: Fuel your eggs with colour, not emptiness.

Problem is: Most "fertility diets" leave your hormones and energy flatlined. The truth? Key nutrients: like vitamin E, omega-3s, and glutathione: can help protect those precious eggs, but only if you’re eating the RIGHT foods, not just ticking boxes.

One of my go-to heroes: Avocado. Why? It’s packed with monounsaturated fats and vitamin E: nature’s anti-inflammatory duo: proven to support cell and hormone health.

Swap today’s carbs or bland snacks for my Egg Quality Booster Toast: crushed avocado + boiled egg + pumpkin seeds + drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Served on wholegrain or gluten-free sourdough. Add in some sliced chicken breast or turkey to bump up the protein.

Ready to step off the diet rollercoaster? Save this, try it, and let me know how you feel! What’s your favourite good-fat food for fertility?

Tired of hearing you can't enjoy Christmas dinner if you're “trying”? Here’s the truth: Your festive plate can absolutely help your fertility and egg quality: without you feeling deprived. The problem isn’t Christmas itself
it’s missing easy wins hiding right in front of you. Most advice skips protein, yet it’s the magic for healthy eggs, balanced hormones, and feeling full (not guilty!). For every celebration, aim to fill half your plate with lean meats, eggs, lentil salads, nuts, and loads of colourful veggies. Swap processed gravy for Greek yoghurt dip, trade cheese platters for turkey slices + boiled eggs. Why? Protein speeds up repair, stabilises blood sugar, and fires up hormone signals: all vital after 35! Imagine finishing dinner confident you’ve nourished your body and given yourself a real fertility boost.

Which protein will you add next meal? Drop your swaps in the comments!

Ever left a clinic feeling like you missed the memo on what really matters for fertility? Me too. It’s a maze: food rules flipping every year, appointments so short you barely get a word in, and advice that just... doesn’t fit.

The real talk? There’s rarely one-size-fits-all. What’s called "normal" doesn’t always cut it: I've had to dig for my true results, fine-tune my food (hello, extra protein snacks), and ask awkward questions to make progress.

If you’re overwhelmed, you’re in the right place. No shame, no magic fixes: just honest experience and what’s actually helped.

✹ Got a tip that changed the game for you, or facing a hurdle nobody warned you about? Pop it below: let’s swap stories, not just stats.

Struggling with unexplained fertility fatigue? Here’s a truth most clinics won’t say out loud: broken sleep after miscarriage can supercharge your stress levels and slow emotional healing. No one warns you how tough nights get, your brain replaying conversations, your body stuck in fight-or-flight mode. Forget ticking the “rest” box: sleep is a repair shop for your hormones, nervous system, and (yes) fertility signals. If you’re waking again and again, you’re not alone.

So, let’s talk: for those who’ve experienced pregnancy loss, what’s your real sleep struggle right now? Night sweats, nightmares, or the endless overthinking: share below if you feel safe. You’re not weak, and you’re not making it up.

Tired of wondering what’s really messing with your hormones? đŸ˜«
It’s not just about what you *eat* – it’s how. Mindful eating is more than trendy: it’s seriously powerful for your hormones, metabolism and egg quality, especially if you’re chasing a fertility breakthrough in your 30s or 40s.

Here’s the truth: skipping meals, frantic snacking, and calorie-counting can spike cortisol and send your insulin on a wild ride. Most diets ignore that your body needs nourishment, not restriction, to balance hormones and support fertility.

Instead, start with ONE mindful meal a day: pause, pick whole foods, and notice how you feel afterwards. This small experiment could be a game-changer for your energy, mood, and cycle.

Ready for real results? Drop a đŸœïž in the comments if you’re trying mindful eating today!

Ever dread those comments about food or your body from family? 🙄 It’s not just awkward: it can feel like a punch in the gut when you’re working so hard on your fertility journey. Here’s the science: stress from social pressure literally disrupts your hormones and makes progress harder. The real problem? We’re taught to smile and ignore, but repeated comments can erode your boundaries and confidence.

Try this instead: Have a ready response: "I'm focusing on my health in my own way": and change the subject. Protecting your mental space IS self-care and is totally valid.

Imagine the festive season minus the guilt. More confidence. Less stress. True freedom to enjoy.

Do you feel affected by the postcode lottery? Share your experience and thoughts below 👇

The WHO says EVERYONE deserves respectful, personalised fertility care: not luck based on where you live. But in the UK, your access to nutrition, hormone testing, and holistic support STILL depends on your postcode. It’s exhausting watching women over 35 with complex issues get stuck with the basics, when you deserve joined-up care that puts YOU first.

Here’s what you CAN do: request your full test results, ask for more than the standard options, and stand up for guidance that fits your story: not just generic advice. You’re not alone if you’re frustrated!

Real, holistic answers are at thefertilitymentor.org.uk.

Skipping protein at breakfast? It might feel harmless: but for women over 35 on a fertility journey, it’s a silent energy killer! If you keep getting those late-morning energy crashes, ragey mood swings, or relentless cravings (I see you, biscuit tin), it could be a protein gap. Here’s the real talk: low protein = unsteady blood sugar, hormone chaos, poor egg quality, and feeling totally out of sync. Most breakfasts are all carbs: toast, cereal, maybe fruit. But hormones love balance, especially first thing! Instead: swap to eggs, Greek yoghurt, nuts, or beans for your first meal. You’ll feel full for hours, lift your mood, and give your body the building blocks for stable hormones. Try it tomorrow: tell us in the comments what you’ll choose! đŸ„šđŸ„œ

Ever worry your thoughts are stuck on replay – test results, failed cycles, or what comes next? You’re not alone. Overthinking isn’t just exhausting – it spikes your stress hormones and can seriously impact your fertility journey.

Here’s the truth: mindset matters just as much as food and supplements. Journaling is a powerful way to process, release, and reset. Science shows that writing down your emotions can reduce cortisol and switch your mindset from overwhelmed to empowered
with just 10 minutes a day.

Today’s challenge: Take a few minutes, grab a notebook, and let your worries flow onto paper – no censoring needed. Notice the relief and clarity it brings.

What’s one thing you’re letting go of today? Drop it in the comments below and let’s support each other. 💚

Is your body getting the support it truly needs after ovulation? Most women TTC over 35 are told their hormone tests are 'fine.' But fine isn't enough when it comes to progesterone: if your levels dip too low, your uterine lining can't support implantation: making it even harder to catch that positive result.

If you’ve ever been dismissed or felt lost about what happens after ovulation, you’re not alone. The truth: low progesterone is COMMON for women 35+, and often missed! You don't have to just hope for the best: there are steps to protect and boost your fertility, and it starts with understanding your own numbers.

Have you ever asked for your actual results: not just if they’re 'in range'? Drop a 💬 if this hits home, or share your progesterone questions below!
