A sad story with a happy ending.
Sadly, many years ago, all our old family photographs were destroyed when my mum’s house was flooded. Using family tree research tools, I managed to track down first cousins that I had never met and amazingly, one of them had a photo of my dad and another of my grandad! I cannot explain how I felt when I got these - maybe someone out there in the internet has an old photo of one of your relations or stories about them.
