Transcendental Meditation is a very specific technique and is only learned one-to-one from a trained, experienced and authorised Transcendental Meditation teacher. The teaching of Transcendental Meditation is administered by a national educational charity, Maharishi Foundation, which maintains the standard of teaching nationwide. The first session is by personal instruction at a convenient time usually on a Saturday. This is followed by meditation classes over the next three consecutive days, usually on Sunday morning and after work on Monday and Tuesday. Each session lasts approximately one and a half hours. We also run weekday courses, please contact us to arrange.

Now that the dust (ash?!) has settled somewhat on last week’s events we wanted to take the time to say a proper THANK YOU to all those who got in touch last week to offer their help and support.

We were so touched by the kindness of so many people we’d never even met, and it made a challenging week a week that was also filled with so much love and gratitude.

In particular a big shout out to

Vivolution .glasgow and .glasgow for offering their office space

.glasgow for offering their studio and massage spaces for our sessions

for offering much needed PR support and helping us focus and prioritise amongst the chaos!

and for feeding us and giving us a table to work from. It hasn’t all been bad! 😋

for creating the mammoth spreadsheet of dreams and collating all the offers of help coming in - an absolute godsend when we were swamped with messages!

A wee update for y’all to round off what has been a slightly crazy week.

A huge thank you to everyone’s support this week, you’ve truly been amazing 💙

We’re delighted to say we’ve found a fab location for our Soup & Social group meditation on Thursday, and want to say a huge thank you to .glasgow for hosting us! It’s a super cool space which we think you’ll all enjoy.

We went to go see the site today and it was even more moving than we expected it to be. A real silence among the crowd; a feeling of the loss of this beautiful building for Glasgow.

It’s a devastating loss, but the people of Glasgow are made of strong stuff and we will be building back better 💪

On a more positive note we also went to go and see some possible new spaces and people have just been so so kind. The city has really rallied together and people really do make Glasgow. We’re so incredible touched 🧡

Dear friends, great meditators & supporters of the Glasgow TM Centre.

You will have heard the news by now about the fire on Union Street which has engulfed the building where the TM Centre is located.

We are still getting used to the idea that our lovely TM Centre has collapsed.

We have been there since 2011 and loved the feeling of peace & bliss that you all helped to create in the meditation room.

Thankfully we were not running an event yesterday & are safe & well.

There are material items that we will need to replace but ultimately we deal with consciousness which cannot be taken, burnt or whet.

We will set about creating a new space for you all to come & meditate as soon as possible.

Our hearts go out to all the other small, independent businesses in that building, and people’s livelihoods - destroyed.

Thank you all for your beautiful messages of concern & support. We will keep you updated. 💖🙏
