If you or know of anyone who is a Mat Pilates or Reformer Pilates instructor this might be for you!

We are looking for an instructor to join our team providing mat and/or reformer pilates classes. We are passionate about providing a safe, friendly environment to Empower those on their health and wellness journey.

Founded by myself and husband, with my background being in Physiotherapy, I knew the importance of exercise but felt people have many barriers to allow them to take the next step. Our small intimate classes and hands on approach ensure anyone of any experience will feel at home in our studio.

Are you wondering what improvers yoga is? Well if you have been attending our classes for a while and perhaps you are looking to challenge yourself a bit more then this class is for you. It incorporates more balance and stability poses focusing primarily on strength. We suggest you come along and give it a go! Emily our teacher will keep you right and provide adaptations to suit your abilities.

Suffering from low back pain and physio has told you to try pilates?
But perhaps your not sure whether mat or reformer is best for you!
I would suggest Reformer pilates. It's a great place to start for low back pain sufferers. The springs offer support and can assist movements that focus on strength and stability of the spine. Before jumping in a class environment, we suggest having a 1-2-1 with one of our highly skilled teachers, to learn about your back pain and assess your ability providing you with bespoke and personalised adjustments so you see improvements!

Not sure whether to try mat Pilates or reformer Pilates? Let’s break it down so you can make an informed choice:

Mat Pilates:
- Focuses on bodyweight exercises.
- Perfect for building core strength, improving flexibility, and stability.
- Challenging in its own way, since you have to rely entirely on your own body for support and resistance.

Great for enhancing strength from within, especially your core muscles, and improving posture.

Reformer Pilates:
- Uses a machine with adjustable springs to add resistance, offering deeper engagement and a greater variety of movements.
- A full-body workout that targets stability, strength, and flexibility, with the added benefit of adjusting the springs to match your ability level.
- Low-impact, making it ideal for those with joint concerns or anyone looking for a gentle yet effective workout.

You don’t need prior mat Pilates experience to start reformer Pilates – it’s accessible to beginners and advanced practitioners alike.

Both are effective, but your choice depends on your personal goals and preferences! If you want to build full-body strength while focusing on stability, reformer Pilates might be for you. On the other hand, if you're looking to challenge your core strength and stability from within, mat Pilates is the way to go.

Have you been thinking about starting Reformer Pilates but don't know where to begin?
We have created a 2-hr Workshop for you to learn the fundamentals of pilates. Its a quick and easy way to learn how the machine works, the classic movements and the pilates breath. Or if you cannot commit to 2 hours, our 5-Week comprehensive course is great. This provides a bit more information and movements spread across 5 weeks.

You do not need to be 'fit' to enjoy reformer pilates. It is suitable for all levels.

You asked, and we listened!

The first of our NEW lunchtime classes start this week!

Shereee will be taking an uplifting and energising yoga class on Friday at 12.30pm. This class is suitable for all levels and especially those who want to start the weekend with purpose. All our lunchtime classes are 45 minutes, making it an easy commitment to pop out for.
