Being busy doesn't always mean productivity.

Sometimes we stay busy because slowing down feels uncomfortable.

Constantly doing, achieving, helping everyone else, overthinking, scrolling, cleaning, planning, or filling every moment with noise can become a way to avoid what’s happening underneath.

Stillness can feel unsafe because when things finally slow down, emotions we’ve been avoiding often begin to surface.

Gently learning to feel safe to soften can be deeply healing for our body, mind and spirit and helps us reconnect back to ourself again.

“You’ve changed.”
Yes, I have.

I healed, I grew, I evolved.

Because I was never meant to stay the same.

The woman who spent years overthinking, people-pleasing, seeking approval, abandoning herself, and carrying stress in her body was never meant to stay that way.

She changed. And I am so proud of that woman.

The moment you stop abandoning yourself, your whole life begins to shift, for the better.

You begin to feel more connected to yourself.
Your life begins to feel more like your own.
Free, filled with beauty, peace and love.

Change can feel uncomfortable sometimes, but there is something beautiful on the other side of it.

If you are moving through a season of change and wanting to reconnect back to yourself again, my free Inner Calm Ritual Kit is there to support you. Find the link in my bio 🤍

Your nervous system is constantly responding to the environment around you.

Changing your environment, stepping outside, breathing fresh air, feeling your feet on the earth, and noticing the colours and life around you can help bring you back to centre again.

Sometimes the body just needs a moment to slow down, breathe, and reconnect with what is real and present around you.

Small moments of safety and grounding matter. ✨️

You do not need to earn your rest.

Rest is not a reward for getting everything done.

It is what allows the mind to process, the body to heal, and the nervous system to regulate.

Rest is an important part of self-care.

If you needed to hear this today, let this be your permission slip to slow down without guilt.

Download my free Inner Calm Ritual Kit to support your rest. Find it in the link in my bio. ❤️

On the first weekend of May, as spring was at its peak, we decided to tie the knot in a beautiful Celtic ceremony, barefoot in the Scottish Highlands.

We rented a stunning mansion with our families and had a small, intimate gathering in the wild grass by the loch. It was wild, authentic, barefoot on the land, and so deeply connected to the elements. It could not have felt more magical.

Our family helped create an altar and an aisle made of sticks and logs. Chad surprised me by writing a song for me as I walked down the aisle with my mother by my side. My brother Nathan, who we lived with for the past year, held the ceremony for us.

We had two handfasting ties that each of our parents blessed before tying our hands together. We read our own vows to each other, and our family blessed our rings in circle before we placed them on each other’s fingers.

Bringing our families together was such a joy. There was so much laughter, and each person contributed to this weekend in such a special way. We feel so blessed and deeply loved.

Even though we missed having extended family and our close friends there, it felt so sacred to share something this intimate with the land, the elements, and our family. I felt so present and so in love with the man I am choosing to walk through life with.

An unforgettable weekend ❤️🌹✨️

For a long time, I believed healing trauma meant going back into the pain, talking it through, analysing everything and trying to understand it enough that maybe one day it would finally stop hurting.

And while talking can absolutely be supportive for some people, I also know there are many of us whose bodies tighten at the thought of “going back there.”

That was me.

I remember feeling so relieved when I realised healing at the root didn’t have to mean reliving everything I had been through.

Because healing at the root is not only about the story itself.

It can also involve supporting the nervous system, subconscious patterns, emotions, and the ways the body learned to survive.

And alongside deeper support, there are also gentle ways we can begin reconnecting to ourselves now.

Small, slow, grounding moments.

Breathing deeply outside.
Feeling your feet on the earth.
Moving emotion through the body.
Placing a hand on your heart.
Learning how to stay with yourself safely in the present.

And choosing a pace that feels safe for your body 🤍

If you’d like some gentle guidance to help you reconnect to yourself and support your nervous system, my free Inner Calm Ritual Kit is linked in my bio.

Overthinking everything, replaying conversations, over analysing can create stress on the mind and body but it's also a coping mechanism. It can feel safer than being in the body and feeling what is there.

If this is you, I invite you to take a few minutes today in presence, become aware of each of your senses. A few minutes a day can really make a difference to slow down, calm the mind and signal to your body it's safe ❤️
