A great night with our Edinburgh Corps Company alongside the Scottish Ambulance Service 🚑💙

Our volunteers had the opportunity to get a closer look inside an ambulance, learning exactly where key equipment is stored and how everything is organised on board. This hands-on insight means that if we’re ever asked to assist or collect equipment at an event, we can do so quickly and confidently.

Opportunities like this strengthen our teamwork and help us work more efficiently together when it matters most 🤝

A big thank you to the crew for taking the time to support our learning, it’s hugely appreciated!

Throwback Thursday to the start of the month at the Beltane Fayre in St Andrews ☀️

A brilliant day, right up until the last 20–30 minutes when the heavens well and truly opened! 😂🌧️

Despite the dramatic weather ending, it was such a great event, and our volunteer Abigail even got stuck in with the Schiltron (which was amazing to see in action!).

Proud to be part of events across Scotland and provide First Aid cover and support, all whilst having a great time and trying new experiences! ❤

This week, we’re proud to support Mental Health Awareness Week 2026 and this year’s theme, Take Action. 💚

At St Andrew’s First Aid, we know that mental wellbeing is just as important as physical health. That’s why we’re committed to providing Mental Health Training that gives people the confidence to recognise when someone may be struggling, start supportive conversations, and help break down stigma surrounding mental health.

Whether it’s checking in on a friend, taking time for your own wellbeing, or learning lifesaving mental health skills, every action matters.

Together, we can help create healthier workplaces, stronger communities and a culture where no one feels alone. 💚

🏃‍♂️ What an achievement, Daniel the superstar!

Daniel from our volunteer team took on the iconic London Marathon this month, and every mile (26.2 in total) had meaning.

Running in support of Educase, Daniel pushed through heat, blisters, and the tough miles, keeping focused on the children in rural Nepal who inspired his journey.

“It was tough, but remembering the why kept me going.”

Working at St Andrew’s First Aid also gave him a deeper appreciation for the first aiders supporting runners along the route! ❤

An incredible effort for an amazing cause, well done, Daniel you are amazing!

What an incredible weekend at Kiltwalk! 💙

A huge thank you to our amazing volunteers who went above and beyond to keep everyone safe and supported every step of the way.

From those out on bikes, to our dedicated teams at first aid posts, to the friendly faces offering encouragement, a chat, or a helping hand for those tired feet, you made such a difference!

Your kindness, commitment, and energy never go unnoticed. Events like this simply wouldn’t be possible without you.

We’re so proud of each and everyone of you thank you for everything you do! A big 👏

What a day for St Andrew’s First Aid! 💙

We were honoured to welcome HRH The Princess Royal, our Patron, and to mark the extension of her patronage of the charity.

A real highlight was seeing our volunteers spend time with HRH The Princess Royal, sharing their experiences and what it means to be part of St Andrew’s. It felt like a genuine moment of connection, not just a formal visit.

The day was also about looking ahead. Sharing our new vision and the role we can play in building stronger, more prepared communities across Scotland.

We were also pleased to be joined by the Lord Provost of Glasgow, alongside partners and supporters who continue to back our work.

Thank you to everyone who made it happen.

A big day for us, and an exciting step forward.

This week, our team came together at Hamilton Park Racecourse for a fantastic evening focused on refreshing essential skills, building confidence, and staying prepared for the season ahead. From practical scenarios to brushing up on communication and response techniques, it was great to see everyone so engaged and committed to continuous learning.

A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to attend, your dedication doesn’t go unnoticed 👏

We’re excited to see our volunteers back in action as the racing season kicks off on 3rd May 🐴✨
