PRESS RELEASE
Annals of Tropical Medicine & Public Health Officially Relaunched to Advance Global Health Research
[Stevenage, UK] — [10/02/2026]
The Annals of Tropical Medicine & Public Health (ATMPH) is pleased to announce the official restart and relaunch of the journal, reaffirming its commitment to advancing high-quality, peer-reviewed research in tropical medicine, public health, and global health systems.
Originally established to serve as a platform for rigorous scientific discourse, ATMPH is being revitalized with a renewed vision: to support evidence-based research that addresses the most pressing health challenges affecting low- and middle-income countries, particularly in tropical and resource-limited settings.
The relaunched journal will publish original research articles, systematic reviews, short communications, case studies, and policy analyses across a broad range of disciplines, including infectious and non-communicable diseases, epidemiology, environmental and occupational health, health systems strengthening, maternal and child health, and emerging global health threats.
“The restart of Annals of Tropical Medicine & Public Health represents a strategic step toward strengthening global knowledge exchange and amplifying research from regions that are often underrepresented in international publishing,” said Professor Abubakar Yaro, Director-General and Editor In Chief . “Our goal is to provide an accessible, ethical, and impactful journal that supports researchers, clinicians, and policymakers alike.”Prof Yaro added
As part of its relaunch, ATMPH has:
• Reconstituted its Editorial and International Advisory Boards with experienced scholars and practitioners
• Strengthened its peer-review and publication ethics framework in line with international standards
• Prioritized research relevance, methodological rigor, and real-world impact
• Committed to expanding global partnerships and academic collaboration
The journal is now published under the auspices of the AHRO Center for Academic Research (UK), an institution dedicated to advancing research, education, and innovation for public good.
ATMPH invites researchers, institutions, and public health professionals worldwide to submit manuscripts and participate in this renewed scholarly platform.
