Foot Mobilisation has been around for many years and is well practised by clinicians of different disciplines. This method of treatment is recognised by podiatry registration boards and insurance companies, and is included in scientific clinical studies.

The Foot and Leg Clinic specialists have studied a specific method of Foot Mobilisation in varied cities around the world and are excited to introduce this wonderful method of fixing feet to as many of the Scottish public as we can. We are keen to spread the word of this revolutionary method of improving foot posture and eliminating body pains, WITHOUT the need to wear foot orthotics…ever!
Foot Mobilisation Therapy has many amazing benefits. As clinicians performing this treatments for a vast number of years now, we’re still amazed that a small amount of treatment can resolve years of pain.

Additional advanced software measures your balance and postural sway in static stance and when walking or running, power and jump height when hoping and jumping, reaction times to visual and audio stimulus… and so much more.
The high spec equipment we utilise is of course an excellent tool and also lots of fun, however data analysis can NOT diagnose an injury nor devise a treatment plan. This is where it is essential that you see a clinician with experience that is also good at problem solving and able to add the ‘pieces of the puzzle’ together to figure out why you’re overloading various area of your body. Gait changes and realignment of your body can be recommended from this point only and not simply by gathering data.

Following the Biomechanical Assessment the clinician will devise a treatment plan for you. This will include some of the following; your unique strength and conditioning program, foot orthotics, foot mobilisation therapy, footwear advice or a referral to our specialist physiotherapist or sports massage therapist. The biomechanical clinician will work in conjunction with the physiotherapist and sports therapist to you achieve your goals of a healthier pain free body.

Traditional acupuncture works on an energy line believed to flow through the body, called the meridian line. This works by inserting small needles to specific points throughout the body depending on the area being worked on.
These small needles work at three different levels, they work to have a local effect in that it will help stimulate the healing process around where the needles are placed through improved circulation.

The needles also work on a segmental level in that it will help to reduce pain around the area in which they are placed, meaning that the pain relieving properties are carried along the adjacent nerves.
Acupuncture also has an effect on the brain which stimulates the release of endorphins and serotonin (feel good chemicals).

This works to help reduce the pain and stiffness caused by arthritis which can help you get better.

Acupuncture can be used to treat an array of injuries and symptoms such as;
Headaches
Muscle Pain
Joint Pain
Dental Pain
Muscle Stiffness
