Rugby league star James Bentley recently visited our White Rose Leeds clinic for his laser eye surgery with Optical Express.

Having worn glasses since the age of 16, James often found that contact lenses were difficult to manage while playing, especially during intense matches and training sessions. After years of adapting his game around his vision, he decided it was time to make a lasting change.

With LASEK eye surgery, James is now set to experience the freedom and confidence that comes with clear, natural vision, both on and off the pitch.

At Optical Express, we’re proud to help people like James enjoy life without the limitations of glasses or contact lenses.

Thinking of adding contact lenses to your Halloween look? Keep your eyes safe while enjoying the fun! 🎃

Here are 5 simple tips to keep your eyes safe this spooky season 👇
1️⃣ Always consult an eye care professional: Even if you’re only using contacts for fun, a quick check ensures your eyes are healthy and the lenses are safe for you.
2️⃣ Buy from a trusted provider: Avoid buying lenses from costume shops or online sellers with unknown sources. Only use FDA- or CE-approved lenses.
3️⃣ Keep your hands and lenses clean: Always wash your hands before handling lenses, and store them in a clean case with fresh solution. Never reuse old solution.
4️⃣ Limit wear time and avoid sleeping in them: Contact lenses aren’t designed for overnight wear, and wearing them too long can increase the risk of irritation or infection.
5️⃣ Listen to your eyes: If you notice redness, pain, blurred vision, or discomfort, remove your lenses immediately and consult your local optometrist.

Protect your vision, it’s the only pair you’ve got!
