Dr Robbie McNeil is a Consultant Haematologist at Ross Hall Hospital.

Dr McNeil has a breadth of experience in assessing and treating patients with a range of blood disorders. He qualified from the University of Glasgow in 2006 having also completed a 2 year intercalated degree in Immunology. During his postgraduate training in the West of Scotland Dr McNeil worked in a range of both city and district general hospitals gaining broad medical experience before specialising in Haematology.

Dr McNeil completed his training in 2015 and was a Consultant at St John’s Hospital in Livingston before moving to his current post at Forth Valley Royal Hospital in 2020 where he is currently Consultant Haematologist and Clinical Director for Laboratories and Radiology.

Dr McNeil’s clinical interests include:

• General haematology
• Investigation of lymphadenopathy or splenomegaly
• Myelodysplasia

Last month we held a fundraising event for Children in Need, selling physiotherapy gym equipment. This equipment was based in the old outpatient Physiotherapy department at Ross Hall Hospital and was no longer required following the opening of The Ross Hall Physiotherapy Centre. This was a great way in order to raise money for an amazing cause!

Patient Liaison Officers (PLOs) vacancies!

We are looking for two Patient Liaison Officers (PLOs) to come and join the Sales and Marketing Team at Ross Hall Hospital, becoming a crucial part of a really exciting and fast-paced department

This is a full-time role, and those applying should be proficient in both numeracy and English (both verbal and written), as well as being proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word), and have excellent telephone and interpersonal communication skills

The key duty of the PLO role is to liaise with patients, consultants, and other internal departments to ensure a smooth patient journey between consultation and procedure
