Following a Prostatectomy procedure last year a patient of Prof Ahmad’s, Consultant Urological and Robotic Surgeon at Ross Hall Hospital, created a podcast video series to help raise awareness of Prostate Cancer.

Our experienced Pelvic Health Physiotherapist supports both women and men with a wide range of pelvic health concerns. They primarily use education and exercise-based rehabilitation to help you regain confidence and function in your everyday life.

Our Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist sees patients for a wide range of pelvic conditions including (but not limited to):

• post-surgery rehabilitation
• post-partum recovery (4-6 weeks post-delivery ideally)

In the UK, about 1 in 8 men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime (Prostate Cancer UK). Therefore, it is important to raise awareness, know the symptoms and speak to a doctor if you notice any changes.

Following a Prostatectomy procedure last year a patient of Prof Ahmad’s created a podcast video series, to help raise awareness of Prostate Cancer.

From diagnosis to recovery, in part 1 he discusses his symptoms, what happened the day before his surgery and he also sits down with Prof Ahmad to discuss the Prostatectomy procedure using the da Vinci Surgical Robot.

Dr Michael Reed is a Consultant Rheumatologist and Physician at Ross Hall Hospital.

Dr Reed has been a Consultant Rheumatologist and Physician at Gartnavel General Hospital and Queen Elizabeth University Hospital since 2019 and treats patients with a wide range of rheumatological conditions.

Dr Reed graduated in 2009 from the University of Glasgow. He also has a B.Sc.(Hons) in Biomedical Science. He completed his specialist training in both Rheumatology and General Medicine in the West of Scotland.

Dr Reed’s clinical interests include:

• Rheumatoid arthritis
• Inflammatory arthritis
• Psoriatic arthritis

We sat down with Gordon, a patient of Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon Professor Hopper’s, who recently underwent a total knee replacement at Ross Hall Hospital.

Gordon competed around the world in karate competitions. Following the American Championships, he started to feel pain in his knees, and this is where he met with Prof Hopper.

Gordon was one of the first patients at Ross Hall Hospital to have his knee replaced using the VELYS™ robotic system and has shared his experience with us.
