NHS Lanarkshire Learning Disability Physiotherapy

NHS Lanarkshire Learning Disability Physiotherapy Official page of NHS Lanarkshire Learning Disability Physiotherapy Service.

We are a Physiotherapy Service working within the NHS Lanarkshire Adult Disability Learning Service, covering the Lanarkshire area. We see people from 16 years of age onwards, including the transition phase of Paediatrics to Adult services. We try to see individuals in the most appropriate place for them, this could be their own home, at school, in a day centre or leisure facility. Our aim is to enable the person’s life by maximising their potential and/or maintaining their posture. Our Physiotherapy Service can help you with:

Walking and Mobility Issues
Liaison with Wheelchair Services (Westmarc)
Recommendation of appropriate equipment
Development of Postural/Respiratory
Management Plans
Implementation of programmes e.g. home exercises, rebound and pool
Access to health promotion activities such as Circ8, and links with North and South Lanarkshire Leisure

We are delighted to be hosting another Coffee Connections morning on Wednesday 12 June 10am-12pm for adults with cerebral palsy.

Coffee Connections is your opportunity to have your say in the services at Cerebral Palsy Scotland, ensuring they reflect the views and experiences of adults with cerebral palsy. It is also your chance to connect and meet new people in the cerebral palsy community.

We are delighted to have representatives from Euan's Guide attending our coffee morning. Euans' Guide is an organisation dedicated to helping to make the world more accessible one review at a time. They will be sharing insights into the fantastic work they do, and discuss how adults with cerebral palsy can get involved.

Register your place here - https://cerebralpalsyscotland.org.uk/event/coffee-connections/
