I think it's good to have a mix of different goals, such as...
Physique - Fat loss, Building muscle, losing inches
Performance - Getting stronger, running faster
Processes - habits & non-negotiables e.g. training 3x per week, doing 10,000 steps, tracking calories daily, drinking 2l of water
Psychological - having more confidence, more energy, less stress, feeling more motivated, better within yourself, proud of what you've achieved.
Why have a mix?
Say for example you only focus on your physique.
If the scale doesn't move itβs easy to feel like youβre not making any progress.
When in reality you might be getting stronger, exercising regularly and starting to feel better within yourself.
In other words, you ARE making progress, you've just been focusing on the wrong things!
