Funny how life sometimes comes full circle.
Many years ago, before my professional career took the direction it did, I spent time behind the decks as a DJ. Music was simply something I loved. No strategy. No big ambitions attached to it. Just the energy of the music and the connection it creates.
Like many things in life, that chapter eventually gave way to career, responsibility, and professional growth.
Today, my day-to-day work focuses on health and safety leadership, education, security services, and professional development, alongside my work as a hypnotherapist and coach, helping people develop confidence, resilience, and a stronger mindset.
But the passion for music never really disappeared.
Over time, I began to notice something interesting. Through my work in leadership, coaching, and hypnotherapy, I see every day how mindset, energy, and emotion influence how people think, perform, and approach challenges.
It sparked a simple idea.
What if music could be used to help create that same positive shift in energy and mindset?
That idea eventually became Hypnobeatz, a radio show I now host where uplifting music is combined with short reflections on mindset and personal growth, including a segment called “One Minute to Change Your Life.”
From the very beginning, there was one important principle behind it.
It had to be accessible to everyone.
No cost.
No barriers.
Just something positive people anywhere in the world could tune into if they needed a lift in energy, focus, or mindset.
Today, I received an email message that genuinely surprised me.
The Hypnobeatz show has been nominated for a major award.
Not something I expected when this started as a small passion project alongside my professional work.
Whether anything comes from it or not, it’s one of those moments that makes you stop and reflect.
Sometimes the things you start quietly in the background… The ideas you build simply because you believe in them…
…can begin to travel further than you ever imagined.
