Some updates for the sledge to the North Pole. We have to try and get donations in as quick as possible for to be able to support families for Christmas. Please see below 👇

1.Donate what you can through just giving link as soon as possible. You can do this even if not making the event.
Thank you to all donations so far it means more than you know to the families in need.
2.Come to Retrofriday on the 19th for a donation of choice and take part in a workout together to move - sled - donate.
All welcome and open doors.
3.Come into and support us on the sledge challenge - reps on the 10m track with sledge weight of choice.
4.Complete reps in another location and tag us to add to board - Thank you, we need your help.

🎄ACTIV CHRISTMAS RETRO🎄

⛄️Friday 19th December at 6pm⛄️

Activ are supporting Be Someone’s Santa charity again as part of our Christmas charity night. BSS provides gifts for specifically nominated children who are unlikely to receive anything at Christmas time.

Leading up to the event we are running a fitness challenge in the studio.
There are 3796kms 🎅 to take Santas sledge from Glasgow to the North Pole so our members have to cover the same number of lengths on the 10 metre track in studio.

As always, reps will be recorded on the board in the studio.

Any support to help power our efforts would be greatly appreciated!

Take control of pain and help prevent injuries with one of our specialised massage treatments: Deep Tissue Massage to release chronic muscle tension and Sports Massage to prepare and help muscles recover for improved performance and injury prevention.

Retro is back this month in support of the and in memory of Eric McMurray 💙

Our very own Activ fam member has set up a Just Giving page. Here are the details of the fitness challenge below;

I'm raising funds for the Beatson Cancer Charity 💛 in memory of my incredible Dad, Eric, who received care and support from the amazing team at The Beatson. Their dedication, compassion, and expertise meant the world to us during an incredibly difficult time.

My dad’s favourite place in the world was Newport Beach in California….just a short 5,121 miles from our home in Houston. The team at Activ Scotland and I are going to see how many times we can make it to California and back during the month of June (1 metre = 1 mile) by sweating it out on the bikes, ski erg and rowers in the gym - culminating in a final mega group gym session with friends and family at Activ in Glasgow on Friday 27 June 2025 at 6pm.

I’ve wanted to show my appreciation to the Beatson for the exemplary work they do for quite some time but haven’t felt quite strong enough to do it until now.

This fundraiser is a way to honour big Eric’s memory and to give back to the place that helped him — and us - so much. Every donation, no matter the size, will help the Beatson continue their vital work supporting patients and families battling cancer.
