Super excited to announce that the wonderful Krisztina Fazekas is going to be joining us from November.

Krisztina graduated from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine with a BSc(Hons) in Acupuncture. She is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC) and has a PostGrad Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. With a special interest in fertility and women’s health.

Krisztina will be working Wednesday morning and Thursdays.

I’m now officially a Mentor/supervisor!

The last 6 months have been incredible, this course has given me more than I had ever imagined.

More skills
More confidence
More friends
More trust.

I had no idea what it was like to be truly heard, held and trusted, but I do now.

The time spent with these amazing people, not just my peers, but the 5 amazing women who run the course has been transformative for me personally and in my practice.

Our final weekend together has been a joy, so much laughter (and happy tears), absolutely not the end, but very much the start.

Sorry for the radio silence, but it’s been the house of plague for nearly 5 weeks now!! 😷🤧😱

But we are finally feeling better and getting out in the sunshine ☀️

Thankfully being a Nutritionist I know how to help heal myself with good food, albeit comforting foods like cottage pies, soups and stews!

With the right foods and nutraceutical support we are all on the road to recovery.

It’s Shipper day!

I get asked a lot of questions about the process for DNA fragmentation testing so thought this might help answer a few.

This is a special freezer, or Shipper, that arrives from Belfast, looks a bit like a Dalek!!

The sample is then transferred in to special cryovials and then frozen before being shipped back to Belfast for the actual testing.

Results are usually available in about 2 weeks.

We’ll have an appointment to go through the results and next steps.

These might include diet and lifestyle or further testing.

What it is?
S***m DNA fragmentation testing looks beyond traditional semen analysis by examining damage to the DNA in s***m cells.

Why it’s important?
High levels of DNA damage can contribute to poor fertilisation rates, slow embryo development and miscarriage.

What could cause DNA fragmentation?
Lifestyle factors such as smoking and poor diet.
Oxidative stress
Environmental factors
Infections
Varicocele
