On the night of August 9, 2025, the Sturgeon Moon—the last full moon of the summer—will rise in all its glowing glory.

Named by Native American tribes after the sturgeon fish, once plentiful in North American lakes during this season, the Sturgeon Moon marks the quiet shift from summer’s peak to the early whispers of autumn.

Whether it rises over fields, city rooftops, or peaceful vineyards, this radiant full moon is more than just a visual treat—it’s a reminder of nature’s rhythms and a chance to pause and reflect.

Its warm glow is especially striking against natural landscapes, making it an ideal moment for stargazers and photographers to capture something magical.

For the best view, head outside after sunset to a spot with clear skies. Even a brief moment under the Sturgeon Moon is enough to reconnect with the beauty above. Don’t forget to look up—the sky never fails to inspire.

Tonight is the New Moon in the sign of Leo. We welcome this shift of creative and passionate energy that this New Moon will brings us.

The Leo New Moon is about power, it is about taking control of our lives and pushing ourselves further than we thought we could go, true power is living and acting from who we really are and what we really want. When we express our passions and our joys without apology or fear we are being our true self and this is where happiness comes from, don't hold back. Be creative and let your creative juices flow, take a walk on the wacky side of life and get out of your comfort zone. If you stay in the same place and keep doing the same things you will never move on or improve where you are.

All the inner work you have focused on this year will now be the foundation for bringing more strength, love and energy into your life in this forward moving period. When the Moon is in Leo we are standing in the centre and receiving all the universe is ready to gift us, so you can then open your hands and your heart and take your universal gifts. This is a particularly lucky New Moon, so don't be afraid to go for the things you want, lady luck is shining on you right now.

Leo is the sign of ambition so think big and dream big as this New Moon is going to give you much needed energy and a boost of luck, so go for things you may not have had the courage to go for before, push your boundaries a little and ask for more.

Tonight's New Moon we will be feeling emotional as fiery Leo brings with it strong passion and intense feelings. Our smallest emotions can feel magnified, don't repress these emotions, let them out, use them to guide you as our emotions are our inner truths.

There are new perspectives to be enjoyed now and this New Moon reminds us that no matter how far we may have strayed from where we want to be we can always get back there as long as there is hope and the will to move forward and grow. This is a time of releasing and letting go. The New Moons energy is going to be giving us that final push in the right direction so that we have the courage, confidence and willpower to sever ties with anything that has been causing us difficulties or to struggle with unnecessary and prolonged emotional pain.

On this New Moon we can truly bring in change and transform ourselves. We will feel braver and more confident than usual. Blessings will be coming your way, we will have renewed energy to complete tasks and get things done. The fire of Leo is burning brightly now, let the flames cleanse your spirit and burn away any negativity. Be positive and open yourself up to allow the good to come in to your life.

Have a blessed New Moon, may the Goddess watch over you.

Can you feel it🩷

Can you feel it🩷

A large coronal hole has recently opened up on the surface of the Sun, and it’s now releasing a strong stream of high-speed solar wind directly toward Earth.

This kind of solar activity can cause a noticeable shift in energy here on our planet, and many people are already starting to feel it.

A coronal hole is a large, dark area that appears on the Sun when its magnetic field opens up. Instead of containing energy, it releases it outward in the form of solar wind—streams of charged particles that travel through space at extremely high speeds. These winds can move at 500 to 800 kilometers per second and are now aimed straight at Earth.

When solar wind hits Earth’s magnetic field, it can temporarily disrupt it, and these disturbances are powerful enough to affect satellite signals, GPS accuracy, power grids, and high-frequency radio communication.

For most of us, the impact is more subtle—it’s energetic, emotional, mental, and physical.

For those who are energy-sensitive, you may have already started to feel the following symptoms over the past 24 hours, and could continue to for at least the next 48 hours.

You might feel a sudden drop in energy midday, even if your morning started fine. It may feel like your body is dragging, and no amount of caffeine or fresh air helps.

You could feel jittery or overstimulated by things that don’t usually bother you—like loud music, bright lights, cluttered rooms, or even fast conversation. Some people describe it as feeling like they’re “buzzing” inside, but in an unsettled way.

Some report sharp or pulsing headaches, pressure behind the eyes, or a heavy feeling across the forehead or crown of the head. Your body might feel tight in strange places—shoulders, hips, back—even without intense activity.

Sleep disturbances are common. You might find yourself wide awake between 2:00 and 4:00 a.m., even if you were exhausted the night before. Some people toss and turn or wake up multiple times without cause.

Dreams become intense, often layered with symbolism or unresolved emotions. You might dream about people you haven’t seen in years or wake up feeling like your dream meant something—even if you can’t explain what.

You may feel emotionally volatile, going from calm to overwhelmed without warning. Frustration, irritability, or unexpected sadness may surface, especially if something triggers an old memory or emotional wound.

You might feel an urge to pull back from people, needing more quiet time than usual. The idea of answering texts or dealing with errands may feel draining, even if you usually enjoy being social.

Some people experience ear ringing or a buzzing sensation, lightheadedness, or random chills and hot flashes throughout the day—without being sick. It can feel like your body is recalibrating from the inside out.

You may notice technology acting up—phones freezing, apps crashing, or WiFi connections cutting out. You might feel sensitive to screen time or feel strange after long exposure to your phone or computer.

On a deeper level, your intuition may spike. You may get a strong gut feeling about something or suddenly feel clear about a decision that’s been weighing on you. This can also bring up old emotions or hidden truths, asking to be seen and healed.

Solar storms tend to strip away distractions, making it harder to avoid things you’ve pushed aside emotionally or mentally. They create space for breakthroughs—but only after surfacing what’s ready to shift.

It can be a powerful time for clarity and truth—but it can also be uncomfortable if you’re pushing through without rest or grounding.

During this time it is advisable to stay hydrated, reduce screen time if you feel overstimulated, eat grounding foods, spend time in nature, and allow yourself more breaks than usual.

If your sleep is interrupted, try to rest when your body needs it—even a 10-minute pause can help regulate your system.

This weekend, the energy will be highly charged, unpredictable, and fast-moving. Use this time to slow down when you can, tune in to how you feel, and trust that whatever is coming to the surface is doing so for your awareness and healing.

Went to Soul Suits today in Hamilton for an infra red sauna and cold water therapy. Felt amazing after it. Good deal on it is on just now! X

Hot water soothes while cold water energizes. Ayurveda promotes alternating between hot and cold water for holistic wellness. Each has unique benefits—hot water relaxes and detoxifies, while cold water stimulates circulation. Add water therapy to your routine for better balance. How do you use water therapy in your day? 💧🛀

Today is the Summer Solstice also known as Litha. It is the longest day of the year, it won't get dark until very late into the night, there will be at least 16/17 hours of daylight. Litha means a stopping or standing still of the sun, in Latin Solstice means 'Sun Still' it is one of the 8 Pagan solar holidays throughout the year called a Sabbat. This may be the longest day of the year but after today the days will start to get shorter and nights longer.

This is a day of celebrations, the Goddess is heavily pregnant with the harvest to come. The Lord of light The Oak King is at the height of his power. But this is also a day of sadness because today the Sun God, The Oak King (God of the waxing Sun) battles with the Lord Of Darkness (God of the waning Sun) The Holly King and the Holly King will win and start to take over the skies. After today the Sun slowly starts to lose its strength, the days will get shorter and the nights longer, as we look to Autumn and Winter. The Oak King (The Lord Of Light) is born on Yule (the Winter Solstice) and he shines so brightly for 6 months of the year but this weakens him. The Holly King (The Lord Of Darkness) lays in wait until Litha for the Oak King to use his last ounce of strength to make sure the earth has enough power for the harvest to come. The Oak King (The Lord Of Light) will slowly descends into the underworld his journey will not be complete until Samhain (Halloween) When the Holly King (The Lord Of Darkness) will take over the skies.

In ancient times, the Summer Solstice was a fire festival of great importance when the burning of balefires ritually strengthened the sun and would ensure a good harvest. It was often marked with torchlight processions, by flaming tar barrels or by wheels bound with straw which were set alight and rolled down steep hillsides. The Norse especially loved lengthy processions and would gather together their animals, families and light torches and parade through the towns and villages blessing people with prosperity and fertility.

The use of fires, as well as providing magical aid to the sun, were also used to drive out evil and to bring fertility and prosperity to men, crops and herds. Blazing gorse or furze was carried around cattle to prevent disease and misfortune, while people would dance around the balefires or leap through the flames as a purifying or strengthening rite. The Celts would light fires all over their lands from sunset the night before Midsummer until sunset the next day. Around these flames the festivities would take place.

Litha is a time of light, purification and of healing. It's a time to reflect on the light and dark that are both within each of us and within the world around us. It is a time to appreciate everything we have in our lives and to give thanks for it, to appreciate nature and all that it gives us.

Pick some flowers and put them on your altar to honour the season and to offer them to the Sun God and the Goddess and thank them for their sacrifices. Oak leaves and branches will honour the Oak King. Adorn your altar with fruit and anything gold, yellow or shiny to honour the Sun. Build a bonfire or a small fire or light a candle. A fire lit on Litha is said to be very powerful and magical.

"Write down your hopes and dreams and burn them in the fire, to do this on Litha night will bring you your desire"

This is the height of summer it is one of the most celebratory days of the year, enjoy it, have family round for dinner, invite friends and party, go for long walks and appreciate the beauty of the Summer and nature, dance and be merry.

Have a Blessed Summer Solstice. May the God and Goddess watch over you.
