Residents and Relatives learned some Sign Language yesterday morning. 👋

Care Support Worker Carol kindly taught basic signs to aid in communicating our Residents’ needs, which included: greetings, good morning, tea, coffee, hungry, tired etc…

We sang along with Carol as she signed to a nursery rhyme and ended the session signing with a story of 'Goldilocks and the Three Bears'.

National Homemade Bread Day (Nov 17th) rekindles the traditional practice of baking bread at home

Our Residents got baking with Paul and made some tasty Bara Brith (Speckled Bread) 🍞

This offers a tactile experience of working with dough. The act of kneading, shaping, and baking bread can be therapeutic. It also provides a sense of accomplishment and pride in creating something delicious from scratch 👏
