What you do for yourself- any gesture of kindness, any gesture of gentleness, any gesture of honest and clear seeing toward yourself, will affect how you experience your world. In fact, it will transform how you experience the world.

If you find January tough and don't have the energy for resolutions, take inspiration from the natural world and stay in resting mode until spring. It's cold and dark, and not the most motivating time of year, so take it gently until the season turns. Coorie in.

Sending love to everyone who feels overwhelmed. Whether that be with work, with love, with life. Be gentle with yourself and take it one day at a time. You got this.

And the truth is, we must take care of ourselves just as much as we pour into others. You can’t keep giving from a place that’s running on empty. We show up for people, we love them, we check in, we go the extra mile—but when was the last time you asked “yourself” how you were really doing? When did you last sit with your own tiredness and let it be enough reason to rest? There’s a kind of quiet damage that happens when we constantly prioritize others and forget to tend to our own wounds. You start to disappear in the background of everyone else’s needs, until you don’t recognize yourself anymore.

It’s not selfish to care for yourself—it’s survival. It’s necessary. Because if you fall apart, what’s left for you to give anyway? The love, the support, the kindness you give so freely to others—“you” deserve that, too. Your soul needs it. Your body needs it. You can’t keep running on fumes, pretending you’re fine. Rest. Say no. Protect your peace like it matters—because it does. Being there for people is beautiful, but don’t lose yourself in the process. You are worthy of the same care you offer everyone else.

Procrastination is not the absence of will—it’s the presence of pain, a quiet signal of a battle fought in silence. It’s not laziness; it’s the weight of an invisible storm pressing on the soul, a resistance born not from boredom but from unspoken wounds.

We procrastinate not because we don’t care but because we care so deeply that it immobilizes us. Each delayed task whispers a fear of failure, perfectionism masked as avoidance, or the simple exhaustion of a spirit too weary to carry the load. Procrastination is the heart’s way of pausing, asking, “Are you sure we’re ready for this?.”

But here’s the breathtaking truth: it transforms once you meet it with understanding instead of judgment. Like a river unblocked, the energy that procrastination held captive begins to flow. It reveals that the time you thought you were wasting was time spent holding space for your own healing.

And then, almost like magic, it dissolves—not through force, but through love. You awaken to the realisation that time was never your enemy. You forget how to waste it because every moment, even the quiet ones, becomes sacred.

Procrastination isn’t a flaw. It’s a map leading you back to the places within yourself that ache for your kindness, courage, and light. Listen to it. Heal through it. And when you emerge on the other side, you’ll find a version of yourself you never knew you were becoming—a self unburdened, unstoppable, free.

Nothing you love is lost. Not really. Things, people—they always go away, sooner or later. You can’t hold them, any more than you can hold moonlight. But if they’ve touched you, if they’re inside you, then they’re still yours. The only things you ever really have are the ones you hold inside your heart.

When it seems humanly impossible to do more in a difficult situation, surrender yourself to the inner silence and thereafter wait for a sign of obvious guidance or for a renewal of inner strength.

As We Shine Our Light, May We Light the Way for Others

As we celebrate the new year,
may we discover within ourselves
a deep and lasting sense of peace, love, and belonging.

May we learn to pause,
to listen inwardly,
and to meet both joy and uncertainty
with gentleness.

In opening our hearts and minds,
may compassion soften our judgments,
and curiosity take the place of fear.

May this inner openness ripple outward,
shaping the way we speak,
the way we listen,
the way we care for one another.

In the simple, often unseen moments,
may we choose kindness,
patience,
and understanding.

As we shine our light,
may we light the way for others.
May our lives become a shining presence,
steady, sincere, and alive,
offering a living celebration
of peace and love
to all we encounter
in the year ahead.

My New Year wish for you is that you are gentle with yourself. When you’re gentle with yourself, you’ll be gentle with others. When you're non-judgmental with yourself, you'll be non-judgmental what others.  When you give yourself the benefit of the doubt, you’ll be able to do the same for the people around you too. You begin with yourself, not because you’re self-centered but because you understand that’s the only way it really works!

As we near the end of the year, I just want to thank the special people who allow me to share their life journey for a while, who recommend me to others, who follow, share and interact with me on social media, thank you.

To my own precious family and friends (old and new) thank you for loving me.

To my most beloved, cherished husband who is my rock, thank you.

Here's a big hug from me to you.
May all of your wishes come true in 2026.

And on the difficult days,
when you feel like you don't belong..
Remember you have been many things
to many different people
and that you will continue to be
as such, in the future, probably
more than you could ever realise.
Your presence is a gift, and no one
else can take your place.

You have shown kindness in ways
that will never be forgotten,
helping others out of dark places
in the midst of the most difficult times.
You underestimate how much
joy and light you bring to the lives
of everyone you meet.
You are a piece in the grand puzzle
And without you, the picture is incomplete. ~ C.E. Coombes
