Busy day in Westacres today!

This morning Joyce and Fiona, one of our activities coordinators, had a look through Memory Jogger cards to see who we recognised.
The cards are great for initiating conversations and talking about many subjects I.e fashion, movies, romance and songs.

We had a lovely visit from a volunteer from a Jewish charity. He met with a few of our residents and had a nice chat 😃

In the afternoon Bunny&Co mobile petting Zoo came to spread smiles around the care home. The animals really livened the place up ❤️

Our Lindsay had a busy day getting some of our lady's hair washed and smartened up 🌟

They always have a great chat and a laugh when they are in the salon ✂️ ❤️

Today some of our residents helped bring spring colours to the dinning room 💐

Group exercises are great for building friendships and working with the delicate flowers helps with dexterity 👫 ❤️

A sunny day all round☀️🕶️we had our reminiscence group this morning, a crochet group in the afternoon🧶, some of us sat in the sun and there’s always time for a quick pamper💅

Been a smile filled couple of days at our home😁Joyce enjoyed some craft time, we had our Fun Fitness class with Fiona, and afternoons of music🎹and playing cards♠️♣️

Today we had lovely one to one time with a few residents. Pampered with getting our nails done, lots of laughter and a great class of Fun Fitness with Fiona! 💅🏋️‍♀️

This morning we started our day with Strength and Balance. Lots of residents joined us and we all had a great workout. 💪🏼

Then this afternoon we enjoyed the sun shining into the sun lounge, a stroll outside in the fresh air, and we also had a lovely little painting and colouring session.

We don’t let the rain dampen our fun! 🌦️A wonderful performance by the cheeky girls today👯‍♀️This evening Passover celebrations began with the lovely Rabbi Mendel. Good Yom Tov everyone!

Today we started our Passover/Easter celebrations with discussion of both the Passover and Easter story🐣✡️. Joyce and Inge enjoyed making sun catchers together ☀️and this afternoon the residents showed off their general knowledge skills🤔🧠
