Important!!
NEW INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL LEGISLATION
From 30 November.
From 4am 30 November, international travellers arriving in Scotland need to comply with new travel rules. These changes may affect treatment booking options and apply to ALL travel.
When a client makes an appointment, you should ask if they have travelled abroad recently.
RED list countries (current):
Angola
Botswana
Eswatini
Lesotho
Malawi
Mozambique
Namibia
South Africa
Zambia
Zimbabwe
If your client has arrived in Scotland between 20-30 November from any country listed above, you should wait at least 10 days after their arrival before you treat them.
Passengers arriving from a red list country FROM 30 November need to isolate in a hotel for 10 days. You can treat them after their 10 day isolation period.
NON-red list countries AND NON-double vaccinated. You need to wait until they have completed their 10-day self-isolation and ensure their day 8 PCR was negative.
NON-red list countries AND double-vaccinated. You need to wait for them to confirm that their day 2 PCR test is negative. They must self-isolate until a negative PCR result is obtained. They can take their day 2 PCR test as soon as they arrive in Scotland so it's possible they could get a result the same day. However, SMTO still recommends waiting at least 48h after arrival with a negative PCR.
Scottish Government guidance is here.
Please keep up-to-date with red-listed countries.
This guidance will be in place for at least 3 weeks.
