Please support our London Marathon hero Gregor Campbell! 🏃♂️💪🙏
Gregor lives with hydrocephalus, which he developed after experiencing a brain haemorrhage when he was six months old. However, he is keen to point out that being diagnosed with hydrocephalus is “not the end of someone’s life”.
Gregor, who lives in Kinlochleven in the Highlands and works as a primary school teacher, still navigates occasional heath scares when his shunt gets blocked but hydrocephalus has little effect on his day to day life.
On Saturday, Gregor will take up the ultimate challenge of completing the London Marathon – just a year after taking up running – to raise money for Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland. 🏃♂️👟🙌
🗣 Gregor says:
"I originally signed up to do a 10k for Scottish Spina Bifida Hydrocephalus Scotland but I got into running and have basically never stopped.
“I am great believer in you don’t know if you can do something until you try. For people who are saying they don’t believe they can do something because of their disability I would say ‘just have a go’. If it doesn’t work or you feel it affects you try an alternative.”
Gregor has received great support from his family and the school where he works and hopes to raise around £2,500 for SBH Scotland as well as helping to raise awareness of hydrocephalus. 💜
Please sponsor Gregor and help raise vital funds to ensure those living with spina bifida and hydrocephalus can feel unstoppable: ⬇
