We have 2 treatment rooms for Sports Therapy work, (assessing, treating and rehabilitating injuries, Doesn't have to be sports injury.) Never skipping the warm up is one of our big club rules!

It is part of your workout, prepares your body to be its most effective and helps prevent injuries.

As much as the warm up should be specific to your workout, we want to share 3 warm up moves we like to use in our sessions and classes to help mobilize your body.

Swipe to learn the moves and see some teaching points!

If you would like to see more teaching points, movement breakdowns or have any specific workouts you would like warm up advice on then let us know below in the comments, or you can drop our team a DM

100kg Club! -

We want to take a moment to celebrate another member of our 100kg club!

Keiran started training with Kris while suffering with ankle and knee pains while running. He has a very active lifestyle and always on the move and it was debilitating to say the least and we wanted to help him get back on the move

Once on the mend we have worked on building his full body strength to help prevent injuries and flare ups reoccurring.

Since he has gone strength to strength and was surprised when we sneakily racked up his bar weight and he cleared his first 100kg deadlift with ease as well as setting new squat and bench press PRs

We cant wait to see his next goals get knocked out the park over the next few months πŸ’ͺ🏽

Well done Keiran! Keep up the amazing work!

Myth-Busting Monday! πŸ›‘

There is a lot of false content and advice that surrounds the fitness industry. This can be confusing to newcomers so let us break down just a few of them for you.

1 - Protein does NOT make you bulky! It is a macronutrient used to help muscles recover after exercise. It won't magically make them grow

2 - Sit Ups will NOT burn belly fat. Any exercise in fact will not target the fat in that area. You cannot spot reduce fat, your body burns fat as a whole through a calorie deficit

3 - Sweat is not you losing fat, it is cooling you down. Therefore more sweat does not mean you are burning more fat, just your body is trying to cool down. Fat loss will come again from a calorie deficit (expending more calories than you consume)

We hope this helps you understand fitness a little better! If you have more fitness uncertainties be sure to comment them below or DM them to us and our team can help you clear them up

Our top recovery tip? - Go to bed and get some sleep!

Talking to our members, we realize how many night owls we have in the club! To get the most optimal recovery for your body you need to be aiming to get your 8 hours of sleep.

It helps your body relax and recover, improving muscle recovery, regaining energy levels and just all in all...making you a less sore and cranky individual the next day πŸ˜‚

Never underestimate the power of a good nights sleep. So cut out the late night doom-scrolling and Netflix binges, get your head down and enjoy a good kip. Your body will thank you for it

For more recovery and training tips, then comment or drop us a DM and come down to learn from our team of experts who are not only here to help you get your results, but make you feel overall healthier in the process

Do you feel a bit out of sorts doing bent over rows?

Sore back? Feel out of position? Feel it all in your arms only?

Take on just a few of these points for this tricky motion

Squeeze your shoulder blades to your mid-back instead of behind the neck. It will help you stop shrugging the bar up and feeling the strain on your neck as well as encouraging the major back muscles to help

Ensure you remain bent over as the name suggests. Pulling up your body may start to crank upright so ensure you always return back to the bent over position with the chest angled more to the floor

Hips back a little will stop the weight pulling you forward off balance or over rounding your back. Just a little can help load the gluten and hamstring for more stability and support on your lower back

If you ever feel unsure about your form our coaches are always on hand to support and help. Let us know below if you want more exercises covered
