A fixed solution, designed around the patient.

This 65-year-old gentleman was referred to us following failure of a long-standing bridge. As is often the case, the underlying teeth had fractured and previous root canal treatments had failed over time.

He was keen to avoid a denture and instead wanted a fixed solution that felt and looked similar to what he had always had.

Treatment involved placement of 2 dental implants, an immediate temporary bridge, and a final screw-retained zirconia bridge.

Importantly, this case was about more than just replacing teeth — it was about preserving a smile he had lived with for decades. His natural Class II bite was maintained, ensuring the final result felt familiar and true to him.

Bridgework still has an important role in dentistry, and implants are not suitable for everyone. The key is understanding all options to find the right solution for each individual.
