I like to blend images from my photographs with helpful therapeutic insights to influence lifestyle choices.

CBT techniques help us to navigate through our emotions, challenge unhelpful thinking and build better behaviours.
Doing all of this can help us to increase our awareness and use tools to take greater control of our lives.
We can gradually increase our ability to have more control, to put the pieces of our lives together in a design that creates a picture that is more fulfilling for us.

We can use encouraging self talk, to help ourselves get through tough times.
'I'm doing the best that I can, what more would I expect of anyone else......'
This can shift our perspective and help us develop a different view of ourselves in situations.
'Stop, breathe, I can do this, it will pass.....'

Now more than ever our minds are busy.
Often when we take time out to have a peaceful moment, it turns into an opportunity to think about what needs to be done and to go over hurts or worries.
Many of us are on automatic pilot.
Mindfulness is a very effective treatment to help us slow things down and to use all of our senses to be more present moment focused. This can reduce anxiety and help us be more contented when doing day to day activities.

YouTube is also a great resource for tools and information.
There are many different approaches to be explored.

Life isn't always straightforward for any of us.
Experiences, influences, challenging events and people can lead us to feel bad about ourselves.
Waking up every day not feeling good about who we are limits our ability to take part fully in life.
We doubt ourselves and our capabilities.
This can become exhausting.
Therapy allows us to explore how we think and act today.
We can identify unhelpful habits and cycles.
This awareness is empowering and allows us to challenge and put in place healthier lifestyle choices for today.
Gradually getting back on track helps us to realise and focus on our worth.

We have choice.
We can focus on what makes us feel better, happier, calmer, freer.
When we realise that our daily tasks are building up and notice our stress levels rising, it can feel overwhelming.
Pausing to write down and prioritise and let go of the less important ones helps us to gain more control and perspective.
Using visualisation techniques of calming memories and scenes helps our focus.
WE CAN BRING CREATIVITY INTO THE EQUATION.

Some days we feel a bit off balance.
Mental health techniques such as practicing mindfulness daily help give us a stronger foundation. Whether that is meditative practice, prayer, music, walking, cooking, creating....
We might feel we can give thirty percent of our usual effort some days.
But if we give one hundred percent towards that thirty percent, then we are giving as much as we can.
Be kind to you. ❤

I love to blend images from my photos, with words to inspire life style changes, to improve mental health:

Stress and anxiety can make us feel on edge.
This persistent state causes us to be in threat mode.
Learning techniques to regulate breathing and be in the present moment activates our soothe system.
Cultivate a lifestyle that allows you to be at ease with stillness.

Our Story

About me: Welcome to my page.

I’m a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) with seven years experience of practice with clients. I lead with CBT, but have an integrative approach and can adapt to suit clients needs as necessary.

I like to put posts on my page to encourage and motivate visitors. I really enjoy doing this and have been using my own photographs. My work is always on my mind and blending words with images is an enjoyable way for me to communicate, hopefully with impact!

I’m currently working as a CBT for the NHS in England for part of the week. I also see private clients through digital devices.
