Pilates & Pastry is our signature Saturday experience at Meridian.

For the past 18 months, it has been a consistent part of our weekly schedule. A space to move through a grounded and energising Pilates practice, then slow down and connect over a post-class pastry in community.

This class was originally created through our studio by and has become a much-loved part of our Saturday rhythm ever since.

It’s simple, nourishing, and one of the ways we like to mark the transition into the weekend, with movement, connection, and time to land.

Introduction to Yoga Philosophy Workshop 🕉️
Saturday 9th May 4:30-6:30pm

Yoga is so much more than just a physical practice, in this workshop we'll begin to explore the rich depths of yoga history and philosophy, in the context of modern life.

You'll be introduced to some teachings from key yogic texts including Patanjali's Yoga Sutras and the 8 limbs of yoga within them, and stories and mythology from the Bhagavad Gita.

We'll discuss influences on yoga across history, including colonialism and cultural appropriation. We'll also explore key philosophical concepts from different periods and traditions of yoga, and how we can apply them in a way that feels relevant and supportive to our modern lives.

This workshop is perfect for anyone curious to deepen their understanding of yoga beyond the mat and connect more fully to its roots and purpose.

My yoga practice has changed a lot over the years.

What once felt energising now sometimes feels depleting, and I’ve learned to listen to this.

In my 40s, through motherhood, recovery from two major surgeries and perimenopause, I’m moving differently. Slower, smarter, and in a way that supports my body rather than pushing against it.

Mobility, strength, and intentional movement are now at the heart of my practice and my teaching.

In real time, this work is slow, controlled, and very intentional. Light weights, strong focus, and moving with the breath. Deadlifts to build strength, then softening into the fold before flowing it through.

This is what strength and flow yoga looks like off camera. Not rushing, more control, and building strength that lasts.
