If you're new to yoga, you might notice muscles waking up that you didn't even know existed, or find it tricky to get your balance in some standing poses. You'll be bending, stretching and sweating as your body gets used to yoga practice.
If anything feels a bit too intense, ease off. Take your time, listen to your body, and go at your own pace. Go far enough into each pose to the point where you feel challenged, not strained.
100% effort doesn’t mean going all out all the time. It means finding your own personal edge at each class and watching yourself get that little bit deeper each time.
