If you're new to yoga, you might notice muscles waking up that you didn't even know existed, or find it tricky to get your balance in some standing poses. You'll be bending, stretching and sweating as your body gets used to yoga practice.

If anything feels a bit too intense, ease off. Take your time, listen to your body, and go at your own pace. Go far enough into each pose to the point where you feel challenged, not strained.

100% effort doesn’t mean going all out all the time. It means finding your own personal edge at each class and watching yourself get that little bit deeper each time.

In a world that moves very fast and is always asking for more from you, it's easy to end up trying to pour from an empty cup. This is a gentle reminder to be kinder to yourself.

You don’t have to be perfect on your mat, or anywhere for that matter. You don’t have to push beyond your limits.

Yoga isn’t about how deep you go into a pose, it’s about how deeply you listen to your body. Some days you’ll feel strong and energised. Other days, simply showing up is enough. Both are valid and both are part of the practice.

So take a breath, slow down, and honour where you are today.

Did you know your yoga practice can support your bones as well as your mind and body? 🦴💪

When you hold yoga poses and support your own body weight, you’re not just building strength - you’re also improving bone density. This becomes especially important as we age, particularly for women, as bone density begins to decline.

In fact, a 5-year study found that women who regularly practiced Bikram yoga had increased bone density in areas like the hips, lower back and neck. These findings suggest that a consistent yoga practice could reduce the risk of osteoporosis.

Just another reason to get back on the mat and join us for a class!

New to yoga? 🌱 Here’s a little reminder for all our beginners. 🌺

Rest is so important, and we encourage you to rest in the hot room when you feel that need. As your body adjusts to the temperature and the sequences, remember to pace yourself and stay present by resting.

If you feel tired or like you've pushed yourself a little too much during a standing series, find a moment to come back to the floor in a seated position, or take a Shavasana. When you're ready, join us where we're at.

Yoga isn’t about pushing yourself to the extreme, it’s about listening to your body, recognising where you are, and growing from there.

See you on the mat.

In Vinyasa Flow, movement is synchronised with the breath. Each inhale and exhale guides you from one posture to the next, creating a continuous, flowing practice, much like the Sun Salutation. This connection between breath, body, and mind sits at the heart of the class.

Our Vinyasa Flow class blends dynamic movement with moments of static strength, endurance, and flexibility, all rolled into one energising flow. Expect plenty of down dogs, planks, chaturangas and other classic yoga postures as you move through the sequence. You’ll also have the chance to explore new movements, including arm balances and inversions.

📆 Join us for Vinyasa Flow:
Monday, 5pm–6pm
Tuesday, 8pm–9.15pm

Of all the things they could do for a date night, Bob and Janice chose to spend time together, practising hot yoga, mats next to each other.

But their yoga journey began in a very different way.

Janice has been practising hot yoga for a decade. She gave it a try after a friend recommended it, and now she swears by the improvements she noticed in her Arthritis. You can read her amazing recovery on our testimonials page on the website.

Bob came to our studio about a year ago, and quickly discovered his assumption was wrong: Yoga isn't just for females. He fell in love with this practice and even celebrated his 70s birthday sweating on the mat.
The first change he noticed was being able to bend and pass the squeegee at the bottom of the shower... which Janice is quite pleased about!

"Hot Yoga is nothing like I've done before, and once you survive the class, it makes you feel better."

It's not just the heat or the serenity after class; it's a way to experience life together... to take care of themselves, so that they can enjoy each other for many years to come.
In fact, don't be surprised if you see them climbing some hills with a huge smile on their faces.

For us, and I'm sure for many other yogis at our studio, this power couple is really inspiring - showing us that yoga truly belongs to everyone, no matter the gender, age, or physical condition.
