Our Radiology team are raising awareness across the hospital about the importance of MRI safety and reminding us just how powerful these machines are.

We’ve got an eye-catching poster in the canteen, a quiz to test staff knowledge (with a prize up for grabs), and a few sweet treats along the way 🍬📝 It's been great to see our colleagues getting involved!

𝗕𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗮𝗴𝗲.
MRI Safety Week is held each year to highlight the need for safety around MRI equipment and to remember the tragic death of a 6 year old boy in 2001, who was fatally injured when a metal oxygen cylinder was accidentally brought into an MRI room. His story led to a global push for stronger MRI safety awareness and procedures.

This week we celebrated reaching 1000 Mako procedures!

A new, £200million collaboration between Nuffield Health and GE HealthCare will equip Nuffield Health Glasgow Hospital, and other Nuffield Health Hospitals across the UK, with the latest diagnostic imaging technology from GE HealthCare.

This will significantly enhance our diagnostic capabilities, and allow us to provide faster, more accurate answers for patients when they need them most.
