Hi! I’m Barry, a qualified CBT therapist from Glasgow. Before moving into psychotherapy, I worked across a variety of helping professions, including youth work and community development. I’ve been a youth worker, a community worker and an outdoor instructor. If there’s a role that involves supporting people, I’ve probably tried it — and had some great experiences along the way.
I now feel fortunate to have found something I truly love. I work with individuals experiencing a range of mental health conditions — from depression, anxiety and social anxiety to OCD and other difficulties. I take a bespoke approach to therapy, creating a unique treatment plan tailored to what will work best for each person.
I’ve always been fascinated by psychology, and I’m passionate about making evidence-based approaches accessible to everyone.
I really want the tools and techniques of psychology, which have been inaccessible for too long, to reach everyone who could benefit from them — in lives, communities, and everywhere they’re needed.
That’s what I really like about CBT: it gives you tools, tips and techniques to improve your well-being for the rest of your life.
