Denture Cleaning ✨😁
Below is a minimal case of staining and plaque buildup. They were fitted a year ago and were ready for cleaning to keep the teeth as fresh as possible✨
At GDS we advise a denture clean and polish every 6-12 months.
Every patient is different and leads a different lifestyle so some patients may require or wish to have them cleaned and polished every 3/4 months. Others may prefer once or twice a year.
Like natural teeth, dentures stain and have plaque buildup. Staining can be caused by smoking, black tea or coffee. There are food groups such as curry and tomato-based foods that can also cause staining just like natural teeth or teeth with composite bonding.
After your first visit for denture cleaning and polish,we can guide you on how long this will take and also how often this will be required based on your examined denture at the time. This is at the patient's discretion if they wish to book for further cleaning visits.
*The below patient was advised yearly cleans unless she feels necessary to attend more or maybe has an event.
