Glasgow University student led society for those with an interest in Emergency Medicine.

We're a student led society, principally made up of Medical Students but we are hoping to involve students from other healthcare courses in our committee. We welcome any student from any course to our events, all you need is to be keen!

What a day! 🎉 Last month’s conference was such a success - thank you to everyone who joined us for making it so special. We’re really grateful for the enthusiasm and energy everyone brought to the event. It was brilliant to see so many people come together to share a passion for Emergency Medicine.

We only have a couple of events left this academic year, so come along to our upcoming sim event on Monday 2nd March for more EM fun. Or, if you’d like to get involved in committee next year and be part of the team that makes events like this happen, keep an eye out for announcements about our AGM!

Tickets for our next sim session are live- all about toxicology. Join us on Monday 9th Feb for an evening of sim! This is great practice if you have OSCEs coming up, or if you just want to learn more about toxicology

🗣️ Next speaker announced!! We’ve got Ross Moy coming along to talk all about Military medicine. Ross is an emergency medicine consultant at the QEUH, with a wealth of experience within the Regular Army and Emergency Medicine Retrieval Service.

Meet Dr Jonny Gordon, one of our fantastic speakers coming to our conference this weekend! Dr Gordon is an exceptionally experienced emergency medicine consultant who is coming to share his wealth of knowledge in emergency care in sports medicine.

Come along on the 20th of Jan to learn about signs of opioid overdose and how to use naloxone to combat overdose.

We’re joining GWEMS in hosting this teaching session and would like to get as many people involved as possible so this session isn’t just open to medics- everyone is welcome.

No need to sign up, just come along to JMS Room 639 at 6:30pm to learn how to use naloxone to save lives!

Our first sim session of 2026 will be all about pre-hospital emergency medicine, joint with our pals from GWEMS (Glasgow wilderness and extreme med soc). As usual, the link for tickets (once live) will be via our page on the SRC website.
This event is totally free to attend and a great opportunity to practice your A-E assessments in the pre-hospital environment!!

We’re running a joint revision session with GUCEDS all about endocrine emergencies. Come along to our free online revision event to revise high yield endocrine presentations before upcoming exams!!
DKA, HHS, Electrolyte abnormalities, Thyroid emergencies, Adrenal crises will all be demystified!
