A massive thank you to Ewen and all the staff at Europa Music for asking us back and putting on this fantastic event. Stirling needs more of this kind of thing.

So many folk there, new faces and old. Got a wee dance with Willow during our set. Great to see folk out and having a blast. Man, was the weather good to is or what? Sandwiched in-between two mad days of rain.

Thanks to Daria for taking these videos, you're awesome.

The Shermans on before us were fantastic in their stripped down set. Yellow Beard after us blew my pants clean off. Thrown Away were a great way to kick things off, I liked the suggestion of a "slower one" but was still above 130bpm. Xan Tyler & Dusty Stray gracefully treated us to some wonderful melodies and harmonies as neck breaking contrast in speed and genre from Thrown Away. I personally loved the variety.

Great to catch up with Radio Banter I'll need to come catch more of you. Sounded great from where I was standing.

A Murder Of Crows rocked the s**t out the place. Ever seen keytar and kilts? This is where it's at.

All the other bands were brilliant, the return of Deltamanic & The Gator from last year was special.

Absolutely shattered and definitely hungover. Cheers and apologies to the wonderful Nicky Tams for hosting our unofficial after party/drinking session.

Sunday mornings are for coffee and contemplation.

'Villains Of The Old West' our live EP is available very soon on a limited number of cassettes.

The release date is set as 18th April which so happens to be record store day... What are the chances?!

Recorded on the banks of Loch Fyne in the north coast of Scotland in a wee cottage on December 21st 2025. It feels like a distant memory but a thoroughly enjoyable one. We look forward to sharing it with you all soon.

A digital download of the album along with the fabbled "Rum Sessions" will be available with the cassette.

So dust off the walkman because 90s music media is calling.

It was one year ago today that Dead Dolphins played our first live show.

April 12th Europa Music, Record Store Day 2025

Since then we've played with some awesome bands

.official .briar It's about to come full circle as next weekend we return for Record Store Day 2026 Saturday 18th.

Heading back into the studio to record more songs towards our forthcoming album.

Out live EP 'Villains Of The Old West' will be available on a limited run of cassettes very soon.

Looking forward to another year of gigs, recording, making music and making pals.

Demo Day tour of Dead Dolphins HQ

A wee look at the simple gear set up for recording demos. I could easily waffle about gear for a ages so I won't but thought maybe this video could be interesting for someone. It doesn't take 1000s of pounds to record these days, to get demos down, ideas out your head. I'm lucky to have the farm but in saying that it takes me no longer than a couple of hours to lay out a track. So, with a simple cheap setup you can make some demos anywhere you rehearse or gig.

I personally I like getting tracks demoed before going into the real studio. You can iron out the creases and it's a handy tool for us as I can share my ideas with the lads. They can listen at home or at work and familiarise themselves with the structure. It will evolve and change from these demos as everyone adds their touch but I have found it's still such important process to maintain.

Old £170 Mac and free software, £60 audio interface, some mics and a bit of free time. Done.
